so far the only time my phone hang is when exiting the game ice age village. i think it's the app problem cos no problems at all running other apps. other than that, phone's ok, no hang, no lag or whatsoever

are you using a custom rom? a launcher or something? seems like you will need to reinstall your rom

nut's rom is a custom rom, hehe, install the FTF from 4.4.4, try it and them install the nut rom if you are not pleased, but from a clean rom, make a backup on PCC before that

err... i don't think nut's rom is consider custom rom. it's just a stock rom, that is pre-rooted and pre-installed with dual recovery.

and yes, u can just flash any stock 4.4.4 rom and then root it with the towelroot. takes less than 1 minute to root. and i think one of our forum member have shared his MY ftf fw.

Is safe to flash any country ftf ( prefarably Europe or Asian)...I have even flash LTE rom on my 3g XZU but cannot get LTE to work. Make sure you download correct phone model
Use FLASHTOOL program ( google for it) . Many sites teach you how to use. Basically install program in PC n launch it. Press the leftmost icon n select flashmode. Select your ftf file. Switch off phone n connect to PC by pressing down vol down( you need google to countercheck whether use vol up or down) n firmware will be flashed over. When finished disconnect phone and restart. Before flashing copy the ftf file to PC flashtool/firmware folder
In the flashtool window at top right you can untick wipe data to keep your data. If you are moving from custom rom better to wipe data to avoid reboot

Mainly stock roms -- you have to read the relevant thread itself to find out..I rarely see guys post ftf files for custom roms

Flashing ANY ftf files will always cause you to lose root

no. not due to xposed. i've been a heavy user on xposed until my systemUi also crashed. lol.
luckily can fix.

might be battery guru then since its messing with the processor. maybe it reduced the speed. thats why your phone lags.

xposed wont lag the phone as most mods are framework-based (mostly)

do you have CWM installed?

boot into CWM, wipe CACHE and DALVIK CACHE, then reboot phone.
see if it still lags.
yea mostly it cant. as codes sets of code are injected into the framework/systemui

how about just gravitybox alone?

gravitybox itself have no options to actually turn on the AOSP lockscreen, but have options to customize it...

try to flash that (above this) and disable xposed and see if your phone will be lag-free once again.

what was the values before? maybe you didnt have the latest?

are you using xposed v2.6.1?

and the values should be 58/54. i think.

try to "reupdate" it in the app, you know how to activate it right? from red to green.

see if that solves it cuz most modules are using the latest values now and latest version of the app.

AND its most likely a module that is causing it to lag. try to see which one

disable 1 by 1 and reboot (if you have many then u have no choice i guess )

but make sure you keep like 10 minutes after 2-3 reboots for your phone to rest before the next reboot, or its just gonna overheat

most likely its one of the modules, or some setting you did.

did you mess with developer options also? hmm.

host you mean the file generated from adfree/adaway app?

its just "hosts"

and yes i do use it to block ads. lol.

i edited mine because it was blocking access to 9gag's cloud URL to display the images.

but the app i used was adfree.

i didnt tick anything, i skip the register and just "update/install host" i think..

no problem.

but bear in mind something might be "unavailable" lol like 9gag app.. , no pictures cuz they blocked the URL.

so you have to know how to edit the host file.. if there is necessary.
