that they prioritise DLC over fixing bugs in their game is an absolute disgrace (WB).

Within the past 24 hours, from being a rumoured poster at a ‘big gaming store’ in America, to a title, release date, and details a lot of information has come out about Batman: Arkham Knight. This article will consolidate everything you need to know about it.

A member of NeoGAF by the name of Nirolak has consolidated all the information that has been made public about Batman: Arkham Knight. Also thanks to NeoGAF users MiamiWesker, Ephemeris, and WordsintheWater for posting the original information.

- Last Batman game for Rocksteady, will work on something totally new next.
- There will be a brand new villain, something made by Rocksteady that they say will be the ultimate test for Batman
- Batmobile can be called at any moment with a button.
- The city streets are much wider to allow for the batmobile. You will rocket jump off ramps and do all sorts of cool maneuvers.
- You can eject jump out of the batmobile right into a super fast glide straight through the glass of a building to knock out enemies. They said glass breaking will be a big new thing.
- New moves include being able to use all your gadgets during flight. You now have a counter throw where you counter a guy and throw him into another guy. A new quick ground takedown. A quick backflip where you then throw a batarang in an enemies face.

- For the predator sections you can now chain takedowns of up to four enemies. For instance pop out of a grate and take one guy, jump to the next and so on. You can now enter grates from a distance, he will automatically do a jump or roll to enter them.

- Riddler challenges seem to be car based. The first one has you enter a sort of Riddler race track where you have to activate walls and ramps, when you activate one another closes so as you drive you have to be constantly turning on and off these ramps as you navigate the course.

- Batmobile fires missles and stun guns. It destroys anything it touches so if you bump into cars the cars go flying. It’s basically unstoppable.

- Story is that after Joker’s death all the criminals decided to work together and their plan comes together this night where they plan to kill batman. The article talks mostly about Scarecrow, he scattered bombs throughout Gotham.

- Oracle will play a larger role, you get to visit her base and talk to her, tons of batman easter eggs included.

- Kevin Conroy is Batman, all the previous voice actors are back.
- Gothom City is 5 times bigger than AC. Split into 3 areas. NO LOAD TIMES at all, entering buildings is seemless.
- They spend a bunch of time talking about how detailed the models are, one character has more polygons than the environment of Asylum.
- Batman will start off with the old batsuit and upgrade at some point in the game.
- It says it is running on their modified Unreal engine.
- All quickfire gadgets can now be used during flight.
- Combat tweaks (note: Not enough time to go over these in detail. for example, you can throw by tilting left towards the opponent and hitting counter)
- Arkham Knight isn’t just the name of the game.. it’s also the name of the [new] villain.
- Fear Takedowns. ie, burst out of grate, action slows down allowing you to target another goon for another attack and so on. Can be used on groups up to 3 as long as they’re close enough together and no one has already spotted Batman.

- They seem to try to tackle the old school Arkham issue of “open door – black screen loading”
- The game looks gorgeous. Huge.
- “This is a single-player game. There is no multiplayer.”
- You can launch into a fast glide from the Batmobile just like the trailer.
- No more prerendered cinematics everything is done in engine
- The larger riots can have up to 50 people flipping cars and looting stores.
- Things such as Gordon’s trench coat and Batman’s cape now have Apex cloth physics.
- They react realistically to changes in wind and movement
- When it rains rains bead of water run down Batman’s suit tracing every groove
- The wrinkles on Gordon’s face crinkle as he talks
- The city is as detailed as ever with realistic moving clouds with the moon shining through
- Halloween characters and balloons litter the street adding a creepy vibe
- Neon signs of the various shops shine brightly around the city
- The skyline has helicopters and blimps flying through it
- Steam puffs out of the sewers in a realistic way
- Will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

I thought I was over CG trailers with no gameplay footage, but that trailer looks fantastic. Blur always makes great trailers and they delivered again here. Successfully pumped me up for the game after the disappointment that was Origins.

At the same time though, I'm kind of bummed that it's another Arkham game, and not the Silver Age Batman they were rumoured to be working on. And that it's still Unreal Engine 3, modified it may be. Was hoping the game would've showcased Unreal Engine 4 instead. Expect texture pop-in I guess.

Still excited though! Hopefully Harley Quinn is a playable character in-game and not just challenge maps, would be interesting from a story perspective. And I'm thinking Hush or Azrael as the shadow man pulling the strings.

There's no hope for PS4 to have to slight price drop or slim model before this game comes out right? Sigh

You can get good deals with special offers and discounts if you scavenge around.

Especially from Lazada since you don't mind waiting and its till October till the launch of this game. Savings from RM50 to as much as RM200 is possible with their cash vouchers and periodic flash sales.

Surely that was Scarecrow's voice right? He did have those detailed plans for revenge on that boat in Arkham City, and the VO was talking about fear. Looking forward to whatever unique spin they'll put in for Scarecrow levels this time! Those were a highlight in Akham Asylum.

Right, it does sound like Scarecrow, but the game reveal details says Rocksteady is creating a 'new villain' that will be Batman's ultimate test. Maybe Scarecrow is just a pawn for the real villain like Hugo was to Ra's.

You know, come to think of it, this new Bruce Wayne in Arkham Knight looks like.... yeah, Ben Affleck.

Obviously in-game models would look nothing like the CG trailer but... hmmm, interesting.

Apparently the new villain is actually called Arkham Knight, but like you I expect a bigger bad behind the scenes. Although that plot device does get tiring though, both City and Origins had that so maybe they'll change things up.

I would be totally okay with going for a new art style and I appreciate how everyone looks leaner as opposed to the stocky body shapes in the past games. However I can't say I like the way Harley Quinn looks in the trailer, she's almost too pretty and kind of missing that "crazy person" vibe you get from her in previous games. Actually, this just came to mind but she looks like a hot model in cosplay. But this is all from like two seconds of her in the trailer, so eh.

Hmm, yeah I think moving to a new art direction wouldn't be a bad thing at all. Now I'm hoping the in-game models do look like the trailer, like how it was in past trailers for the previous games in this series.

Edit: I forget that GameInformer already has screenshots of the game so yeah.. more of the same but prettier. We'll know for sure once they have more screens to show.

The batmobile itself apparently is larger than the 360's memory footprint combined, obviously they are exaggerating, but if it needs the power and memory of the current-gen consoles then yeah that's what the devs have got to do.

WBIE also revealed details about two collector's editions of "Arkham Knight," including the $99.99 Limited Edition and the $199.99 Batmobile Edition.
