Me usuually near kuala selangor and sungai semilang.
Not really good place but still peace of mind not much worry my telescope kena tapau by indon strangers.

lot other place has good sky but not really good for telescope deployment since got warm air or safety issue.

if outside selangor i would recommend bukit tinggi.

With the haze that's going on right now, I wouldn't recommend star gazing.

If it clears up and the skies are clear, you should equip yourself with a good binoculars ( try Celestron's 7 X 50 ) or a telescope ( refractor/reflecting) depending on your interest. Avoid supermarket telescopes, they suck. You can purchase them from stores which specialise in these stuff, I ordered mine online. Penang has some good places to buy these stuff, you should look out for them.

/ktard, can bring 10k telescope, can't spend RM 200 hire security for the night.

Besides, nobody knows it's 10k telescope unless you go brag about it.

"Check out mah 10k telescope babeh. Can see light in black hole, blablablablablabla technical shit."

And if you brag about it until bangla nearby can hear you kinda deserve to get robbed. Go back to your gated community in tropicana pls.

seriously jus like camera lens you can already know the value of telescope by its size, aperture and type of mount used.

Wow, I see. blink.gif Never knew a Malaysian would be so into amateur astronomy.

I still prefer deep sky objects so I'm more into large reflectors and stuff, though planets may not be as crisp as seen with your high end refractors. biggrin.gif

Honestly, I can't even differentiate if a girl's bag is expensive or cheapo.

Likewise, most banglas are not into amateur stargazing, so they won't recognize your gear unless you lansi.

On the other hand, whysoserious.png?

I disagree, i went there to stargaze a few weeks back and let me tell ya, its shitty as fark..
at least hundreds of jakuns at 2-3AM in the farking morning making noise, shouting , showing off the flashlights..i decided to never ever go back there ever again,
one of the best place was gunung bunga buah behind hotel sri malaysia genting, about 4 hours of exhausting climb, the view at night is breathtaking and not one soul was there except me and a few of my homies sitting and barbecuing..

Sound like damn fun bro. Except for the 4 hours of exhausting climb part. Wouldn't want my girlfriend to suffer climbing up. hahaha.

Its amazing, safe to say one of the best experience ever, the climb is 4 hours but if you climb slowly, take breaks..it should take about 5-6 hours but its worth it smile.gif
Temperature there is gets real cold, at the peak is a great view of both kl in the far and also genting highlands, its awesome to just chill there with a couple of friends at the peak, fire and bbq in the middle..damn syiok brows.gif

this is a pic i snap about 6am before sunrise
