it cost me about 1K plus for whole car la. did the doors (double layer), floor pan (double layer) , entire boot ( single layer).

Advantages ah? Car very very silent. Jap car silent like continental car. Doors close with a solid thud and even feels more solid than conti. when driving fast, very minimal noise. music sounds a great deal clearer and louder. Boot closes with a heavy THUD. hehehehe

I love it! but i did dual layers la. one is a sound dampener and the other is sound proofing. so very silent hehehe

Mine is 3M. The brown colour stuff is very heavy and is something like PVC clay material and needs to be HEAT to contour to my car's shape. It's supposed to be a vibration dampener. The black wool material is the sound proof thingy. It's suppose to ABSORB sound. actually dun bother so much about brand. normal reasoning would tell us that all of them work. get the reasonably priced ones la. Got one thread here i think Raammat , quite ok one.

JUST DO IT! Trust me. A WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE!

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and u can't remove the clay thing when u sell ur car. and u've got to wait SEVERAL HOURS to get it fitted.

i meant better clarity due to significant reduced outside noise. my car only japanese car. sound insulation not as good. now after sound proofing, can match more expensive makes liao

last time before install, when knock on door panel and boot, sounds like ting ting ting. now ah.........TOK TOK TOK one hehehehe
