Ya. Work in server room before, generally they need those to eliminate the static charges more than actual grounding works. Nowadays new server I don't know lar, lastaim those old age AIX servers if not grounded properly, tibai I walked pass closer my wedding ring also kena magnetize Later wanted to get out of the room, put my hands on the door handle den sure kena sot ady

well the data centers (yes few lol) i work at are pretty static free (humidity controlled, and maybe better grounding as you mentioned)... so far no experience on getting static shocks.
makes sense, the equipment in the room are millions in ringgit... not to mention if the server goes down then it'll be few thousands for every minute up till millions/day in losses

i wonder if they have spares lying around that they don't mind donating

1) Ask insurans co. claim back from the bus insurans co.
2) Following #1, ask insurans co. restore own NCD
3) Claim for inconvenience of loss of vehicle.
4) Submit medical claim (went for x-ray and ct scan) to car insurans and ask him claim from bus insurans oso. If cannot, claim back from own PA.
