Out of sudden, all the pace bursting and the acceleration by Rosicky did remind me of Pires....any thoughts?
Never thought that he can accelerate this quick and eventually gave the spurs a shocked. We need this kind of pace to penetrate in every of our attack! but somehow we're fortunate to defend spurs in the second half, no doubt they played well and kudos to both team in playing the free flow attacking game...I love it...the previous of this kind of similar game was against Chelsea where we punted them 4-3....woot!Fixture after bridge will be far more easier...

On Bak, we should just give him whatever he wants. Plus we are now in the position; financially; to give players like Bak better contract. No more this '1 year contract for player over 30' bullcrap

The guy is among the best fullback in the league for years now, which make him a loyal guy as well

Also can show that if you are good and loyal enough, you can be our legend and end your career with us

Well I got to agree with you. He is worth that kind of extension and pay with his contribution over the years especially he can be good back up at the center. With vermy being inconsistent in his form. His contract should be extended

With Arsene’s 1000th game coming up at the weekend, there are all kinds of Best XIs floating about. With a nod to the boss’s transfer market acumen, here’s our best bargain XI.

GK: Jens Lehmann £1.5m – He arrived from Borussia Dortmund and became an Invincible.

RB: Bacary Sagna £6m – The most expensive purchase but in terms of value for money he’s provided it.

CB: Sol Campbell £0.00p – Thanks Sp*rs!

CB: Kolo Toure £250,000 – He came as an eager jack of all trades, and became a top class centre-half. Sold for a profit of around £12m.

LB: Gael Clichy £400,000 – Arrived from Cannes a 17 year old rookie, played a key part in the unbeaten season, and was sold for a profit of close to £7m.

LM: Edu £600,000 – His fee was reported at £6m from Corinthians, it was much, much less than that. He really did have a cultured left foot.

CM: Patrick Vieira £3.5m – Rescued from AC Milan, he was Wenger’s second signing after Remi Garde and grew into one of the world’s best players at Highbury. Sold for a profit of £10.25m.

CM: Cesc Fabregas £0 – Snaffled from an out of contract situation at Barcelona, the Catalan ended up captaining the team before moving back to his second home for a profit of £36.5m – 1 lesser spotted van Bronckhorst.

RM: Freddie Ljungberg £3m – Arsene Wenger saw him playing for Sweden against England and immediately splashed out for the attacking midfielder who became a fans favourite and a crucial member of two title winning teams.

FW: Nicolas Anelka £500,000 – He was free but PSG took Arsenal to court and they had to pay a fee decided by arbitration. Anelka then did an Anelka and was sold to Real Madrid for £23m.

FW: Robin van Persie £2.5m – He is the Skunkiest of all Dutch Skunks, and a frustrating figure to look back on because of his injury problems, but is 8th in the all time scoring list. Profit of £21.5m after his sale to Man United where he was left by Alex Ferguson to be coached by Phil Neville.

Total cost – £12.25m
Total profit: £109.75m

Till date I still think Lauren is better than Sagna. Ashley Cole was brought up by the academy, Gael have no match even during his prime. Edu was good but with his injury prone history, his fancy form only came for last half of his last season, Pires is way much better than him. RvP wise, if you followed him since his young days lethal in his freekicks and acceleration, it seems he lost all of those during his long injury period and how can you rule out King Henry and the flying Dutchman. All these numbers is a no-no compare to today's inflated market where Darren Bent can cost equal/ more than the King....Cheers

Wenger definitely have to make profit each year to make up for the debt..
Those who really know what he has contributed to our club will never want him out.
8 years without a trophy is nothing compared to Manu and other club who has longer trophy drought than us.
What we get is a new stadium and so much more.. It's the future for us. Now no more debt so we can spend big smile.gif
Not to another EPL team.. other league is fine by me if we didn't get him.
To replace Giroud? No thanks.
For the future? Yes.
I don't think he will be an instant impact for us like Ozil though.

Agree. The successor of Arsene may choose to follow Arsene's way or may choose to spend big if he wants unlike ... smile.gif where limited amount of funds... it's like squeezing dry lemon for more lemon juice

Game was gone when the ref sent off Gibbs. Down to 10 man against team like Chelsea and the rest is history.
Did the ref saw Oxlade hand ball? or he was pressured to send off Arsenal?

I supposed the fixture ended with a strings of tough games. Liverpool slipped and came back? Why can't Arsenal? I'm looking forward to it. Man city and Chelsea really need to slip for us..Don't forget City have handful of games in hand still

Don't think they will slip further but who knows. What I meant was they slipped during the New Year when they had strings of tough games...Remember?

Arsenal attack is too slow

I am not impressed with yesterday's Arsenal performances. It was too predictable & lack of shot on targets.

Too bad I have to admit that...Lack of penetrate capability..

Watching Kops vs Spurs now.
Spurs kinda reminded on Arsenal when the defenders cannot run, they played high offside line which concedes to Suarez goal.
Liverpool in other way kinda reminded me on Arsenal prime time, all the true passes, crosses and running over defender tearing them like paper
Fantastic game
