so you want them to repeat the same mistake of RO2? Fans of the game will play the sequel if they retain the very basic gameplay mechanics and with added improvements. I think the best direction for them to take is to make it sorta like Dragonica.

agreed.. but the downfall of ro2 is not coz of 3d genre. lack of class depth is one of its mistake.. with lame typical feature and old click-n-move mechanic are easily will be forgotten...

It's not 'old' back then when it was being developed, it's actually very 'hot' back then. It's just retarded to keep it after being scraped and relaunched.

And yes, the lack of depth in all of its mechanic made it worst and forgettable.

More like they learned nothing from the success of RO1 and decided that it was a smart idea to copy WoW/EQ but take away anything that made the game "difficult".

Go ahead play this game then get ip ban like pso2 did. Oh wait it's already banded. Last time i played few days of ro2 at the start of the launch, the useless asiasoft server had few times of break down. I hate Singaporians now. Bloody evil businessmen, ruined every good game they have licensed.

I appreciate their innovation, but turning RO1 to RO2 using new game engine and graphics do not work. Same goes to Priston Tale. They should make "Spiritual successor". Let it die peacefully. Just look at Demon Soul and Dark Soul!!! This is not rocket science.

Maple Story is long lasting, simply because of the new updates/patches/add-ons.

I used a free vpn and downloaded the game via steam.

Which vpn you using? Any latency issues?

Using ProtonVPN free trial now to test the game. So far so good.
If I like the game I will consider NORD VPN subscription.

connect vpn
launch the launcher and start the download
disconnect vpn
let it run until finish?

im using mudfish, so it uses my quota if i use it for download -.-

yeah, that's what i did, i start dl then disconnect vpn. I also use vpn to login game, then disconnect vpn, let it reconnect to my own internet to play

hi for mudfish setup ms2

1) equip maplestory 2 item
2) click maplestory 2 at dashboard
3) go setup
4) server location : select oceanic
5) nodes : dont use auto selection, select AU oceania (Sydney - HostUS) seems to be the best ping for me using this
6) save
7) launch nexon launcher, you should be able to login and open game (restriction bypassed)

for server, im playing in oceanic, since its the nearest

thanks for the guidance. i think something is not right with my mudfish. the auto-config stuck at 10%. at the status dashboard, the 'Configuration' is marked with 'X'..

at the moment, i am using bolehvpn..
1. fully routed to france
2. launch nexon launcher > start game
3. when already in-game, i terminated the vpn connection (not sure whether this have any effect or not)
4. game as usual..

my ping range from 120-280ms so far..

how ppl get 120 ping for ocenia..im getting 300-400 using mudfish direct connect to syd node.

with mudfish (using Sydney - HostUS) im getting consistent 145ms

make sure your game server in mudfish is choosing oceanic as well

Just got to LVL35, anyone around the same range? Will be playing tonight

i'm at lvl 37, but I haven't had the time/motivation to play

bought nordvpn just to try the connection.. make it even worst lol..

averaging 600ms ping with the vpn..

these past few days connection getting worst for me. without vpn, i am getting 300ms+. quite hard to do the hard dungeons..

XD have u try mudfish? i do bought the nordevpn for launching only.XD

i do have mudfish but i cannot connect to the game through mudfish.. no idea what happened though. and mudfish CS is no help at all.

add me on ocx server. Ign: chipsblade. Still lvling up.

at the bottom side select the country tat allow to play..dont connect to malaysia node or the country that not allow.
this should enable u to straight launch the nexon launcher and play
