I'm very near to buy an xbox360. but which version is better....asian or japan. help the noobie. i need the answer by tonight. thanks in advance to all voters

alamak... asian and japan same lah the differences is the C4 power brick only. my advice just go for asian set because anything happen you just send back warranty to singapore. if you buy japan set you need to swim back to japan for warranty. asian dont need the step down transformer too...

actually your poll not very effective lah hehehe unless you are undecided asian or US machine then maybe the poll should be helpful.

if you want less C4 Power Brick get the Asian Version

if don't mind C4 Power Prick and you want the D-Sub Cable(No This is not a VGA Cable) + Remote Control then you get the Japan Version.

i bought it at RM1500 KickOff Premium set that c/w 1x Fifa 2006 germany game n 1x xbox bag.

the asian ntsc/j for ori games range from RM120 to RM180.

I liek the Jap set because it has the free remote. Quite handy for when you just wanna browse the Marketplace or watch the vids you download. The C4 detonator isn't much nuisance since you can easily hide it from view

But I guess the warranty is a huge factor. Considering how many 360 malfunctions we've heard since launch.

the jap console & power supply should be consuming the same amount of power compared to other region consoles, they're the same

what consumes the 'extra' power is the stepdown, notice how hot it gets? that's ur hard earned money turned into heat there... it even consumes energy when ur 360 is off, so if ur not playing then turn off the stepdown, dont leave it on 24/7. plus, its a fire hazard if left on unsupervised.

If ur stepdown like 500 - 600 W dah macam gaming pc confirm consume more lol..

According to this link, Japan, Asian, and Korean Xbox 360 share the same region coding, so there should be no problem for Japanese games to be played on Asian Xbox 360.
