Not sure if it's my phone or my settings, ElementalX always heats up my phone thoroughly when the screen is on. I notice that it's ondemand governor increases the minimum frequency to 1GHz when the screen is on. Odd.

QUOTE(ndragon @ Mar 3 2014, 09:23 PM) i think my phone temp was on the high side with ElementalX too... after that i flashed faux and i undervolted... den my phone hardly go over 40.. most of the time at 35+-... no effect on performance so far.. btw.. pikachu also joined the n5 grp~... last time was also in the s2 thread.. haha Haha. Been a Nexus 5 owner for quite some time. Just experimenting with custom kernels these days to see it's quality.

QUOTE(djlah @ Mar 7 2014, 07:02 PM) so far, no heat issue for me. did you OC? or how is your setting in aroma? ElementalX heats up the phone as it restricts the frequency from 1GHz-2.1GHz when the screen is on (which heats up the phone pretty quickly). If you don't undervolt, you'll heat it up even more quickly.

QUOTE(DarkonGaron @ Mar 7 2014, 07:59 PM) what version did u flash? 0.26 or 0.32? Undervolt by how much? i remember the default during setup is 725mhz Well, depends on your phone and how much you can undervolt. However, even if you undervolt, I don't agree limiting your frequency to those levels is good in the long run. There's a reason why your phone has these voltage/frequency steps.
