What's the use of xposed? I watched the xda video already and know its for customizations right?

But most stuff like greenify (and others) we can just install the app straight. What's the benefit of using the greenify through xposed instead of app?
*
You will be able to greenify system app.

finish reading the site provided by NightFelix so kinda understand most of it now. so basically before i root my phone, i have to unlock the bootloader to install the recovery which can be use to backup and everything. after that i have to select a rom and flash it, some rom come pre rooted and some dont. if i choose those tht come pre rooted, my phone will b root after flashing the room. is my summary right?

Looks like someone did their homework. Congrats. rclxms.gif

Going to flash my first custom rom tonight. Can suggest me a good pair of rom and kernel? Preferred battery saving.

Is this ROM good enough?

My phone don't have great battery life on 3G. Is it normal? (Cataclysm + 0.26 Elementalx)

The battery drained issue shouldn't be a problem after you slap some custom kernel / rom. xD

First drop my n5. Luckily got case and glass SP. But due to impact, the SP chipped a bit on the corner. Is it worth to change it now? =x

I could never get a good battery life even with custom kernel and greenify. Tried elementalx, trinity, etc, all just same. Nothing can beat mpokang kernel on galaxy nexus, which standby can last around 3 days.

You seriously trying to say N5 can't even beat GNex for battery life? I think you mean idle battery life.
*
Yes, idle time. As already mentioned in the post.

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Mar 24 2014, 07:22 AM)
You mean idle time? Like don't use the phone at all?
*
Yup. I'm using bricked kernel currently. So far quite smooth and doesn't drain battery too much.

I'm using SPIGEN Ultra Hybrid but with exposed clear back & mine already scratched kaw²...but didn't bother much cos I'm getting my SPIGEN Slim Armor soon biggrin.gif as for the kernel ElementalX 0.34, so far my experience was aweesome, with idle staying at 100% for 4hrs and SOT around 3 hrs+ with data on whole day thumbup.gif
*
Oh. Sorry to disappoint you, but eventually the back of a slim armor will get scratched too. But not as bad as ultra hybrid.
