To those on faux kernel(who also uses fauxclock), faux release 185 of fauxclock that fixed the ksm drain. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Personally, I wouldn't mind if people ask questions to get/learn more in depth about the specific topic after they at least done their own research.
Eg: What is a kernel. What it does, etc etc. Maybe when you're on Google and you get the idea of what a kernel is and does. But you would like to know more, so you researched more on Google, but most you get are the same stuff.
So you come to a forum for a discussion. Propose your question maybe as such: Can someone explained what a kernel is maybe in <some way>? Done researched on Google and I get the brief idea of it. <Insert short summary of your research>. If anyone has more to share, they'll reply.

QUOTE(zaidi @ Mar 14 2014, 12:19 PM) actually it's depends on different people. some can tolerate newbies questions, some just can't. even in xda, dev like franco don't like newbies, but stratosk (semaphore kernel) or morphic (trinity kernel) actually promote newbie's questions and answer them personally some times. anyway we should add FAQ for no such thing as fake nexus5. best check is via boot loader, it should show many critical info there beside imei. will pinnalized it..!

QUOTE(shawnlst @ Mar 14 2014, 03:28 PM) Non taken... I should have researched before asking such questions ... I was kind of tech savy during my college time then... but after started working, have lost touch pretty much about technology stuff... Most if not all queries, answers can be easily found through google or just go download n read user manual... What i cannot stand are some of those smart or know all types...i rarely ask questions as i just google for the answers n can said 99% of the time answers are there..it is faster than waiting for answers from here

Elementalx OP posted this: QUOTE added 0.32 to the OP as beta, hopefully there will be less confusion about where to find it. I guess at this point it would be good to have more people using 0.32 to flush out any potential bugs before I move on to 0.33 Downloading 0.32 now, later will flash it

QUOTE(rognales @ Mar 14 2014, 03:15 PM) to have that Ok, google. You need to search your voice search to English US. Not just English US anymore. Works on English UK as well as some others.

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Mar 14 2014, 08:38 PM) And that price really cheap. Yeah, I went to ebay after failing to find anyone who can sell it to me readily here at lowyat, I mean for Mega 6.3. As for Nexus 5, I bought from a different ebayer. Will review on that too once I got it.

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 14 2014, 12:04 PM) I didn't do scientific test on it, but 3G/LTE signal are much stronger than Wi-Fi, the difference can be ignored. Difference between geek and normal user is they always do research. There's difference between noob and lazy. There's always Google. I always googled my problem/question first, if not found then only asked in forum for help. There's build in search function in LYN forum as well. Forum are for discussion, people here are not paid to answer the same question over and over again and again. Anyway this is a forum, personally if I really helped people with heart,I don't feel like its a trouble or something to reply over and over again,if you're not willing to reply, then don't say it out,it'll be the same as giving answer from your time,I think everyone should give answer or help if they CAN,not thinking they will get paid, annoyed, not googling,or other stuffs,I believe if you're willing to help,it won't be a big issue, and finally, don't be rude to people if they asked, don't want to answer?don't reply, they're just to confirm something here, like asking question, answer suddenly become slapping, where's the answer the person wants?

Android phone are not all the same. Each brand has their own skin/interface/feature. I usually like stock pure android feel which is from Nexus 5/Google Devices. So conclusion, Android is android, different brand device has different interface and spec.

Jumping ship from iOS, you might want to take software updates into consideration. Apple is good at providing update across all their devices but that's not the case for Android. Android's leader, Google can't provide update for every single android phone out there due to the presence of modded android and endless variations of hardware (not all phone uses same hardware, different driver etc). Android running on most phones/tabs are not pure or so called Vanilla Android. This is not the case in Nexus devices which are running Vanilla android which promises prompt updates (although Google forfeit its support for Galaxy Nexus just after 18 months!) The problem of a modded android is that... Software updates are provided by the manufacturer (Samsung, HTC etc) and they always take their sweet time to provide update for their users. You can opt for Custom ROM (Android modded by developers among the public) to get faster updates but you lose functions added by those manufacturers in their phones. Lastly... Vibe Z is from Lenovo, not sure if it will ever get updated to 4.4 but I think it would certainly be update for that. Not so sure for next Android version though.
