Hi guys/girls(gender equality flex.gif ), not a student of Monash, but I have several questions regarding the university and I would be very grateful if someone could answer them.

1) I noticed it was mentioned in a previous version of this thread that students under the High Achievers Scholarship can also apply for the PTPTN loan, however, it was also mentioned that it is impossible to convert the loan to a scholarship even if a first class equivalent is obtained because Monash will not issue a letter stating that the grades obtained are equivalent to first class. Is this true? Anyone has any experience with this or knows any seniors who managed to do this?

2) According to the website, a 75% average is required to maintain the HAS. I assume this is equivalent to a second class upper(I understand that Monash does not follow this grading scale though tongue.gif )? Also, usually, how many people(out of the cohort) pursing a Bachelor of Commerce maintain a 80% average(which I think is the equivalent to a First class?) throughout their 3 years of study? hmm.gif

3) Any nearby accommodations which are reasonably priced that you might recommend?

Thanks in advance everyone and enjoy your orientation! laugh.gif

Oh, is this still the case? I thought they stopped hedging the tuition fees.
