It is skype savety to use? I heard ppl say n 1 pc magazine tell that skype is a kind of hacker or spyware.

Anyone can give some suggestion?

But the conversation is strongly encrypted and I don't think for a normal home user it is unsafe to use.

Safe to use for me? Yes. If you can, post what magazine and a link to the article if possible.

If you have anti-spyware/malware and firewall installed, there is nothing to worry about...unless your pc stored very important files regarding to banking information...

firewall+antispyware doesnt gurantee secure.. this is bcoz if u r in lan.. the packet can easily sniffed. for skype,as samurai1337 said, the conversation is strongly encrypt, then i think its safe

All the worries about safe or not... Frankly, if you use the internet, it is not safe in the first place... Unless your conversation is meant to be highly confidential (Ultra-Security case...), why be so paranoid about using Skype...? Forgive me if I said wrongly...

Even you use maxis to talk also not save, they can easily record your conversation
