Guys, how to remove the glue residue from original sticker? I already used petrol, turpentine, wd40, palm oil, baby oil and even perfume but still it doesn't come out. Just bought new cover because of this
*
Perhaps, need to use acetone or similar based glue remover.
After spray on for few minutes, they come off easily with a wipe. Just be careful not to leave too long as it can dull some paint like those on metal surface. There are probably better products that doesn't affect paint. Look for them in DIY shops. Keyword is 'glue remover'.

Serious LC V1 boleh masuk saiz 120?!

Kalau pakai rim RCB belakang, saiz tapak 1.85, boleh jugak? I'm using X1R swingarm
*
1.85 can go 90/90 or 100/100.

Different brand cannot drop in same jet size... totally different numbering.

Hey guys im new here biggrin.gif
So just got on my hand with lc v2 4s (2013) with 11k+ mileage on it..last time just driving, erm kinda a new rider here hehe

So first thing first, go to change eo and oil filter since the last time changed about 6 months ago yawn.gif got any tips on the maintenance of this bike?

Doesn't get much info on that last service, just only that eo thing and chains changed within that period from 2013. Yet the chains kinda rusty and noisy even after applying some grease, so should i go to replace it with new? And others thing that should i look for?
*
Welcome to the club.
A pretty low mileage 2nd hand unit you have there.

For service maintenance, if you don't already have the owner's manual, you can get the soft copy at the first page.
Collection of tips and recommendation are also found there... feel free.

New owner here. Bought it in Dec.

Black Y15ZR. BNN6809.

I changed the front tyre to 90/120. Installed the radiator cover and the engine cover.

Kinda dissapointed with the tank. Too small for 150cc bike. If you maintain 120kmh, with Ron95, 1 day finish.

I maintained  with V-Power Racing and Ron97, can last 2 days with 120kmh speed.
*
welcome madstone.
Never heard of 90/120 size, but I could be wrong. Try Caltex or BHP. Also, check tyre pressure.

For RON95 around 130KM if speed maintain 80-90kmh
If 100-120kmh, less than 100KM

With V-Power more than 150KM++ if maintain 80-90kmh
120KM if maintain 100-120kmh

How much petrol per tank?

Tailow, welcome to the biking world... perhaps need to extend your insights on EO into this.
Are you thinking of upgrading yet?

The best carb to start tuning is the stock carb. Hundreds of different combination to yield different throttle respond, power curve, fuel economy... change carb not so simple, best to learn to do it yourself.

On the VM30, I'm guessing you are using a 2 stroke model?
You'll need to use different needle jet (not the needle, the seat which holds the needle) to better suit a 4 stroke.
It is especially hard getting used to as it comes without an accelerator pump, and worse if you have removed the TPS that came with that bike. Suggestion is learn to twist the throttle slowly.

no tailow la, just small potato rolling by.

unfortunately i'm not planning to go too much on lubes for the bike, as one of the main reason switching over is to save cost.
sending samples over to USA with our currency and considering how bike lube only requires 2 liters, it just isn't sensible to do so.

i am however, practicing half duration oci.
example: instead of first 1k km, 5k km, 10k km, i am doing 500km/1k km/2500 km/5k km/7500 km so on and so forth.

what are you referring to on upgrading, upgrading bigger cc bike?
if that's what you were referring to, then no not at all. loving the R25 a lot biggrin.gif
*
well, half-OCI is counter intuitive wrt saving cost.
R25 is a revvy bike, do you use xW-50 at least?

ooo...wats act d different between them? do u noe any1 can tune it? i simply dont hav d jettings for testing. d motor is still in pantang stage, didnt ride faster than 60kmh. moreover d main jet is too rich.

i feel vm30 is too big for my bike...
*
Don't pantang. Google for "break-in secrets".

It uses Keihin NCV24, which means constant velocity carb. Same carb used in Kawasaki KLX150L so it should manage big bore mod.

Here's something to read up on CV carb mods...
Keihin CV on Harleys... beats other carbs on dyno.

mayb next round replace piston onli try la coz already quite sometime pantang..haha,

hmm....not sure. if got free time can mess around d stock carb la since its jus lyin around. but prob wit gt128, this carb gib sheet when wanna start it durin morning.

mine had been bore till 167cc. needs some1 n tools to tune d carb. if really cant find, had to buy from oversea d....

n btw, does spare part shop got service kit for carb?
mayb next round la. now too late d.. hhuhu
*
Ok. I see. It could be simple as sending the block to polish and do hard break in.
Do as you see fit. Some shops will sell the kit parts separately, need to find.

Hard start during morning need choke, and this means it is tuned nice for the pilot jet or slow circuit.
People think one kick without choke is good, but it is wrong... so they tend to richen up the pilot jet or slow to make it happen...

I try look up and down and hope someone can help me to answer these questions:
1. Is the Y15RZ faster or the FZ150i is faster on the same RPM. I need a bike for daily city ride, that can at least go 90-120 on average.
- In short, no. FZ/2015 is faster.
- Check Gearingcommander.com - both bikes' spec are there.. play with the final sprocket and you'll be able to tell.
- 90kmh - Y15ZR at 7000RPM, FZ-3 @ 6700 RPM.

2. What is the largest rear tire I can fit into in both bike without any modification, I am aware 17x3.5" RIM can easily install 140/80R17 tire but is it possible?
- Yes. But, front tyre should go with 80/90 for stability before the rear needs any wider.

3. I am 140kg, anyone with that weight on this both bike before?
- FZ yes, front and rear suspension needs extra preload.
- LC/Y15ZR not sure, but I'd say similar setup needed.

then today i tune it myself. 34 still too rich but still ok i guess. lots carbon wit vry lil tan at 2.5 anticlockwise. but still d low end rpm fluctuates alot. in d end find d REAL prob was my iridium spark plug... after change normal ngk spark plug. vry smooth! how could this happen???
*
What brand Iridium plug was used? Which model? How old was it?
The tip could have been damaged. It's like halogen bulb, needs to be handled carefully.

ngk iridium. CR7HIX. bought it last week...
gpower?
any1 tried side gapped themselves? it do wonders for cars.. not sure ab motorbike..
*
Your bike stock use C6HSA without the resistor component in the plug.

Putting the CR7HIX may cause additional load to the ignition system... the resistor is for anti-fouling capability IINM. Also, the heat range is wrong, that could be a reason the plug fouls too easily.

I don't really have an answer, but perhaps Iridium not suitable, or that plug could be faulty also... who knows.
