issue faced during my tenure with this company:
- AL application. Face black2 when apply for AL (be it long or short). Always ask employee clear 50% of AL by mid-year, but always reject AL application, & at year-end AL burnt
- Working hour 8.30am - 5.30pm. Punch card after 8.40am deduct RM5, after 9.40am RM10, after 10.40am deduct half day AL (I was late only once during my 1 year tenure due to car tyre punctured, reached office 8.41am. They did not accept my explanation and deducted RM5)
- Lack of sympathy. A colleague was robbed & suffered broken bones on 2 fingers. Hence, doctor gave 2 weeks MC. Reaction from management when she called in for MC "Only 2 of your finger is broken, other parts still functioning. Why MC for 2 weeks?" and even threaten to issue warning letter.
- Favoritism. Boss's niece was allowed to punch in/out as she desires, but other employee/non-relative will be scrutinized on punctuality.
- Policies change as and when desired. Personnel, positions & policies were amended/created over-night to adhere to bidding requirement.
- When employee resigns, try to deduct as much as possible (eg. medical check-up, training). Until employee have to argue and show offer letter that this was not stated, then only management take away the deduction.
These are few happened during my 1 year tenure. so, beware if you are invited for interview/hiring by this company. who knows, you migh b the management's favorite new-hire & won't face all these issues.
