- Referring to those company where the management style is of that certain kind of culture and mentality like depicted in the term of "chinaman company"
- A "chinaman company" is usually a sole-proprietor company founded and wholly-owned by a Chinese (in most cases, thus the term), but can also be wholly own by people of other nationalities and races.
- On the other hand, a "chinaman company" can also be a Chinese family-owned business entity headed by the patriarch of the family if it is relevant where the management style is as described
- It CAN also define a Japanese Company, Indian Company, or MNC, but the management style is very 'Chinaman company' style or mentality (or similar)

- Squeezing every employee till last drop by paying them peanuts
- Family oriented business to the extend of bringing wives, little kids to formal office luncheons or functions
- Celebrating Chinese New Year at Grand Scale: Lion dances, angpows, even burn incense during certain days
- Employees are not doing specific jobs and expected to multitask
- Benefits in the minimal requirement set by Human Resource Ministry guideline (no extra extra given)
- Board of directors are all close friends and family members
- You don't get paid for OT
- Your boss muka masam if you clock in and clock out on time, expect you to 'give extra' hours
- Stingy
- Longer working hours
- Taking leaves almost seems is a big crime
- Can override policies they set before
- Calculative when it comes to leaves, medical benefits, bonuses, allowances
- High new employee turnover rate, and senior employee stayed in companies for a long long time
- Boss will ask you pick up boss child, drive boss around, or drive boss's customers
- Working during/for/in company's annual fuctions
- Boss muka masam when u take leave in between 2 public holiday or monday/friday leaves
- Punch card late 1-2 minutes bising, after 5pm stay do work 1-2 hours, no praise, no OT

I do believe there will be a lot. Since... it's Malaysia Actually, "Chinaman Company" are not all together as bad as pictures painted them to be. You can learn and grow along with these companies. You come outmore experienced and more valued. And really, at the end of the day, it depends on where you ends up, and how you carry yourself. It's your own mentality and spirits that makes you successful in your own way.
The purpose of this thread is for jobseekers to know which and what kind of company are there interviewing for. And, have a mentality prepared for it. Anyway, if you're looking for jobs, 'Beggers can't be Choosers' right?

To let people know the background of a company before they join.
And Not to ask people not to join.
It's to let them have a prepared mentality of roughly what they would face in their coming job.
