hello
any premiermiles visa signature user here that recently got your annual fees waiver. i tried asking the customer service to waive but in a very bad tone i was told there is no such offer now...just want to reconfirm if there are any successful case as i did swipe substantially using this card and would thought i can get away for the annual fee =p |

QUOTE(Berkshire Breakaway @ May 9 2015, 03:32 PM) haha..happy 2k post.i spent close to 80k last year, from experience is this substantial enough to ask for af waiver? or just too little for citibank to consider? This post has been edited by yuy_hikaru: May 9 2015, 03:34 PM |

QUOTE(Berkshire Breakaway @ May 9 2015, 03:46 PM) that is simply weird i thought so too... i did asked politely and i get responses from the CS in such mannerdid you ask why? annual fee waiver is not a promotion. 80k for premiermiles should be enough if i were you i would simply cancel the card "currently there is no offer for AF waiver and there is NO POINT FOR US TO CONTINUE THIS CONVERSATION because there will be no waiver for the annual fee offered by the bank" I am now redeeming all the remaining points to enrich and gonna cut this card... |

QUOTE(Berkshire Breakaway @ May 9 2015, 04:14 PM) did call again? maybe the guy was having his period or his gf dumped him (excuse the sarcasm) lolx... i did put a request to ask for cancellation and they will call back again during weekdaysyou don't need to be super polite as long as you're not rude you are not going on a date. it is consumer banking. or i suspect maybe something is special about your case. 80k for premier miles should not be a problem at all. may b i try calling again tomorrow if they can reconsider my request... if there is anything special, i did miss my payment for 2 times due to timing difference in transferring the funds to citibank for 1 or 2 days...which i was granted waiver for interest back then...apart from that i did pay on time... |

QUOTE(Berkshire Breakaway @ May 9 2015, 04:41 PM) thanks for your sharing your field report. really can't figure out why. maybe other members can comment. you are welcome thank god i only have only one card with citibank and got a waiver last month i may not be so lucky next year just to update the rest, another friend of mine was charged AF for the same card. And same reason was given and no waiver will be entertained non-regardless of amount spent suggest all cardholders of premiermiles try to call before AF being charged or just cancel the blarrdee card coz the access to premium lounge is so limited to some of the other premier cards out there good luck ppl ! called to cancel my card last week. the cs told me that personnel from another department will call back...so far there are a few missed calls last week during some odd hours - after 7pm which i failed to picked the call.
called yesterday and said they will definitely call me back by end of yesterday...no call received afterall... business could be so bad that they dont even allow ppl to cancel card nowadays? hehe This post has been edited by yuy_hikaru: May 20 2015, 08:32 AM |
