GST usually banks will not waive unless you are super high spender as the RM50 needs to be paid to the govt, not some imaginary cost by the banks.

back to citibank - any great deals lately for new card sign ups ?

Yes you are right! Citibank will straight away waive your af and even gst at your first attempt.. If you use few k per month(My boss)
Some only get waived for the af only if threaten to cancel or they call you back few days later.. (Like me rclxub.gif )

hello masters
1. sometimes some shops in the mall give discount/free item if you pay with citibank card
2. For some cinemas there is priority lane for citibank card holder

if i am using the cash back card am i eligible for both cases since i have earned rebates from the bank?

Yes, unless it is stated that your particular Citibank card is not eligible for the promo/privilage.

Citi Business Platinum.
Not so high spending  biggrin.gif
Thinking whether to downgrade or not.
From what I understand, the GST for the annual fee is totally removed, so I will only pay the 50% annual fee.

Hi now the gst is no longer fixed at RM50. It depends on your annual fee...
If your card is free for life then no gst incurred
If your card annual fee is rm1000, then u need to pay 6% gst which is RM60
I was not sure if my annual fee is waived, I still need to pay the 6% or not
