1st year is free i think, but not sure how easy it is if we wanna waive from 2nd years onwards, did you try ?

@carpathia, its the usual platinum card, silver color, not cashback platinum

doesn't the silver one has Complimentary annual fee by just using it 3 times within 60 days?

at least that's the impression I get off Citibank MY's website?

if according to what they posted on their site (bar the terms and condition if any). This platinum card would be one of the easiest to waive annual fee.

I can't confirm yet as I'm still in the first year lol

after a year plus of usage, suddenly got NCB rebate for credit shield premier in my statement.

Been wanting to cancel this Credit Shield Premier but they make it such a pain in the ass to cancel it.

How does this thing work? The calculation for the NCB I mean.

Similar to your car insurance. Well, for car insurance, there’s tier. For this credit shield premier, is probably just one tier, say maybe if no claim previous year, 25% (example) off the current year.

Try to cancel it asap. If you have your own insurance, these CSP, is expensive and redundant. It’s part of business to make sign up easy and cancelling difficult. 

yeah, called in the other day and got transferred a couple of times just for the operator to tell me can't cancel just like that, blablabla form blablabla fax and shit, damn crappy

You can just scribble "Please cancel this policy" and sign on the AIA's Credit Shield Premier Certificate of Insurance for Credit Shield Premier, email it to "my.callcenter@aia.com.my" or "my.callcentre@aia.com.my". Not sure what's the email is, better to just call the CS and confirm on the email address.

the CS has sent me a form but I've yet to find the time to fax it to them
