Such a simple fee waiver, it just a simple yes and no answer, but u need to call in for so many times and get diff answer from diff officer.. don't u think this is really poor and lousy service?
How can Malaysia always tolerate with this kind of cheapskate customer service? some more international bank..

Unfortunately most (if not all) the staffs in the cheapskate customer service and bank are Malaysian hmm.gif

What cc you using? My friend all got rejected for annual fee waiver last few week. All they cancel the cc.
Citibank only offer to convert to choice cc which is free for annual fee.

Mine is Visa Signature and my colleague is Amex wink.gif

Thanks for your reply. Not sure is because I've hold this card for more than 3 years so no waiver promo for me? Spent quite a lot already. Haiyaa..

Although i'm not holding the same card with you. I also don't understand (no trend or pattern) how Citibank decide which customer to offer membership waiver.
I manage get my membership fee waiver (3 years using Premier Miles).

I do not understand. There are so many banks out with Zero annual fees (free for life). Local banks issued credit cards are as good as those foreign banks. Why would anyone want to call in and beg Citibank to waive annual fee yearly.

The thought of calling and beg Citibank to waive the annual fee really pissed me off. That's why I cancelled mine many years ago and never apply for Citibank CC anymore, even when they offered many gifts on application.

Citibank CS told me that foreign banks unable to offer Free For Life credit card service due to Msia regulation. But i´m not sure is true or not
