camera, my fren been going thru tis experience, MUST CHECK! 1st, open normal camera apps (not nokia camera), then take 1 photo with main camera, then without exit the app, switch to front facing camera and take 1 photo again.. if faulty the front facing one wont be able to take any photo...

after that is mic check, open office app, then use recorder...

then is speaker check, there are 2 speaker in L920, both located below the window key, open a song then cover each side to check the sound...

last but not least, screen flickering check, without any apps to help, jus take a plain color photo, eg: whole white A4 paper, whole gree color paper, whole black camera blocking picture, whole blue or red color paper...
guess thats most u wanna check, if u got wifi allow and usable, jus connect to internet and download hardware tests.. an app thats simplify everything...

My Lumia 920 red is second hand too, the phone came out from the box on tip top condition, didn't do any checks at all, luckily no problem.

Try these step to update to black.

1. Via phone update
2. Via sysapp pusher
3. For glance http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/faq/?ac...&topic=FA141614
4. Update all nokia collection apps

Go to settings, check about windows phone

at there you should see your firmware revision number.

Latest firmware, Lumia Black is 3051.40000.1349.0011, if it match, then you had the latest version of firmware.

If you check extras + info in settings, it didn't say your phone in Lumia Black, that because some settings inside your new phone didn't get updated.

Download Sysapp Pusher or Lumia System Updater from App store, the app will provide you shortcut link to the apps store on various settings to download and update it on your phone.

actually i'm thinking about getting my mom a 630 as 625 only has 512MB RAM (rumour says 630 has 1GB)
i asked her to wait till it's arrival
if my mom really can't wait then i'll go for this lor as the specs are quite decent

not even bro ,  ... battery work fine ..

i can say .. pretty much impressive .. average usage usage will took 9 hour to flat my battery

while .. normal + idle it will take 2 day to flatten my battery

u enable 4G?

2G = E
3G = H or H+
4G = LTE

try enable 4G ..for my phone ..with 4G is more power saving than 3G

when u aren't using facebook *just wechat or whatsapp

enable 2G is more than enough

setting > mobile network > LTE ...if cannot then u need to go telco to unlock your sim card
