Hi all photog, kindly need your assistance right now. icon_question.gif

I'm trying to quot a price to take photos for a 5 star resort hotel rooms and surrounding area such as beach, golf course, park, swimming pools, main buildings and such on. The job may need a few days (maximum 3 days I guess) as the surrounding area is huge, and I need to time the right light to capture some of the scene.

My problem is this is my first pay job for this kind of task (I'm more on wedding & event photography) so I don't know how much to charge them. Can anyone share some experience or info regarding this?

Thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

I'am sorry I don't really get that, maybe my english comprehension is really bad sad.gif

As a photographer, how much I can charge the hotel for taking the photos for them?
The hotel will use the pictures for advertising and commercial later.

Ok my bad, I get wrong details, I thought u want to snap in the hotel.. Lol

Depends on what kind of photo they want, if just normal photo then should be around RM 1500 with about 20 pics ...

If they want to shoot like those interior photoshoot or exterior photoshoot with advanced editing one.... That one really high price... And really depends on your level... U know your own level...

Me and my friend shoot for cinema interior photoshoot .... Charges around 10k... With editing...
Copyright one depends on how much u feel is reasonable to charge la...

Wah thanks bro, you are a life saver! notworthy.gif

For this job, I have to take interior as well as exterior for the hotel and they expect me to give the highest quality possible because the photos will be used for their commercial in a long times. I might practice a bit before venture to this.

One last thing bro do you have any advice to give share on your experience? sorry for asking much tongue.gif

I might not make any printing for them, just shoot and retouch.

My gear for this task is canon 600D, canon 10-22mm lens, and two YN speedlight and some colour gel maybe (will purchase later if I think needed). Is that enough for the task?

I might use just this one UWA lens to capture all the photos.

just a thought, if you have confidence and skills, 600d and good lighting can be used for this job and still produce nice images for large print.

Or if the pay is good enough, you could rent/borrow better equipment for this job.

It's also a good opportunity to expand your portfolio.

I don't think the hotel will ask you what equipment you will be using to take the photos. All they want is an acceptable product from you.

As long as you can deliver, I don't think they will ask which camera you will be using.

And get everything down in writing before you snap anything.
