I've the Asus GTX970 , wondering if anyone else got the CD drivers working ? it installs but Windows dosen't detect the card. Freshly built PC with Windows 7 and had to download drivers from nVidia site instead.

So far so good, Max Payne 3 on High and fans started spinning only after half an hour thumbup.gif

Why bother with the older driver versions that come with the CD? Download the latest ones from Nvidia website and game away. tongue.gif

Yup, love the 0dB feature. My observation so far is that the fans will only start to spin once it reaches 65C.

Yeap, I think it says that on the box too tongue.gif

Does your power cable touch the heat pipes ?

Got my Gainward 970 reference.
Quick question: I know that the housing is made of plastic, and when I first turned my pc on yesterday, it had the slight hint of "burnt plastic", and I THINK its coming from the gc because I could vaguely smell it coming from the card when I first opened it in its packaging. Its more obvious now when its running.

Is this normal ? Anyone with the Gainward 970 reference can testify here ?
Maybe its "new hardware" so need to wait before the smell goes away by itself ?

No problems in games though, temps hovering around 50-60. Tried dota 2 so far, and redownloading battlefield 4 and Metro Last Light now. smile.gif

I don't have the Gainward, but worth checking if you peeled off all the plastic ? If you're too excited the thin film is easy to miss tongue.gif
