So basically SLI GTX 970 is better than GTX 980 alone? Just add few hundred buck, then I think it should last at least 3 yrs? If set all the game in ultra?

HiHi, im still in dilemma on choosing GPU, either 980 or 970 (both 4GB for time being), different around plus minus 10fps or maybe 20% in performance, but in term of money different around RM800. Any opinion guys?

QUOTE(Minecrafter @ Nov 5 2014, 09:05 PM) http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1355?vs=1351 I'll choose 970, just consider which brand is better only. If u want to spend more, get GTX980,the cheapest are the Gainward GTX980 Phantom and Palit GTX980 Jetsream, both at RM1999,you can get them from IdealTech. QUOTE(Skidd Chung @ Nov 5 2014, 09:20 PM) The 970 for best bang for the buck. I weigh this option as well before making my purchase and also asked for advice here. Couldn't bring myself to blow 100% more of my budget for 20-30% more performance. And mainly I only game in 1080p at 60hz, it made even less sense. I rather blow the additional funds into a kickass monitor to take advantage of my 970. Yes, same here. Play game in 1080p # working life here, not really focus on gaming. Just sometimes play Assassin, The Sims, Racing Games etc only. If like this maybe I'll go for Asus strix only.If I rally wanted to blow money, I rather wait for the 980 Ti if it comes with 8GB rams. |
