According to Gibbo from OcUK, those 8GB rumours on 970/980 was a clickbait since there's no 8GB variant in the making yet, at least they're not going to release it this early.

QUOTE(ErgoProxi @ Nov 6 2014, 01:27 AM) Sifu~Sifu 860M of course, the performance is almost double compare to 750M and you get less heat, less power consumption and less/no headache because of SLI compatibility.Should I go for SLi GT 750m 4(2+2)GB DDR5[upgrading lenovo y400] or GTX 860m 2GB DDR5[buying Acer V Nitro Black Edition]? since performance doesn't differ much[GPU wise]. Btw the amount of VRAM doesn't add up when u pair 2/3/4 GPUs. GT750M 2GB SLI still only have 2GB of usable VRAM. |

QUOTE(akachester @ Dec 5 2014, 02:08 PM) Anyone of you tried running SC2 on Ultra / Extreme on GTX980? It is quite laggy on mine, occasional jerk every 5 seconds and i wonder is that a driver issue or the 980 cant support that Did you get low GPU usage? If yes, report to this thread below. QUOTE(shikimori @ Dec 9 2014, 06:05 PM) got the same card and a bit disappointed no custom bios release Set your card base clock same as the G1. Anway , I need you guys opinion about the low pixel/texture fill rate for this leadtek card . Will it impact perfomance a lot ? If compared as per below attachment , its looks like leadtek is having the lower rate and I have a theory that this is what causing me to get lower scores when doing 3dmark strike test . Thinking of selling this card if thats the case and get myself another g1 gaming 970. I think by removing the backplate should fix the size issue |

QUOTE(ming0000 @ Dec 29 2014, 08:36 PM) According from Hermitage Akihabara website the card won't be reveal at CES2015.QUOTE Nvidia is expected to launch the mid-range Geforce GTX 960 next month. The news comes from Hermitage Akibahara, which claims the card won’t appear at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Instead it will launch on January 22. The card is said to be based on Nvidia’s Maxwell architecture, more specifically the GM206 core. Little is known about the GPU itself, but the card is expected to ship with 2GB of GDDR5 on a 128-bit bus and a price tag of about $200, although we still expect it to end up north of $200. Maxwell is an extremely efficient architecture and the card is supposed to draw power from a single 6-pin power connector (obviously along with the 75W provided by PCIe). We will try to find out more about the GM206, namely the exact power consumption figures, so stay tuned. Sauces: Nvidia GTX 960 launch date pinned down | 「1カ月後に発売でしょうか」(12/20) ・・・某ショップ店員談 |
