Hi guys, anyone else getting annoying stuttering in Ryse son of rome?
I checked MSI afterburner and my gtx660 gpu usage drop to 0 causing massive stuttering
looked online for solution but didnt found anything so far     

32GB RAM user here, no stuttering issues on my end except if it's game related (as in poorly optimized). To be honest, for a release driver (344.16), Nvidia has done a rather good job with it. In comparison to Fermi and Kepler release drivers, there were a lot of problems like high input lag, high DPC latency, audio sync issues through HDMI out, etc.

344.16 has been relatively, quite trouble free. I would still like for input lag to go back to 275.33 level though. The difference isn't so huge anymore fortunately, but it's somewhat noticeable eventhough by now I've gotten used to the high input lag since 314.xx drivers.

The input lag is on a driver level, before DirectX/OpenGL API and a game engine implements their own level of input lag. Obviosly, there's no such thing as zero input lag but the drivers from 314.xx until 331.xx were quite bad.

Vsync will always add input lag as it happens before an API. So that's something you either accept or you disable it for every game.

No stuttering, no coil whine at 1080p maxed with my PC setup.

Once GTX 970 came out... my gtx 770 is like.. useless... bought it for rm1299. now gtx 970 totally crush gtx 770 at almost the same price. just got to use it till it cant play smoothly on new games then change.

A 1500mhz+ core OC'd 970 will handle most games on 1440p fine. But I doubt it'll hold out for future games. 1440p is 980 territory though. The 970's target base was always 1080p users, which is why Nvidia targeted its price to be so low.
As long as it's not the bs we had from 8xxxGTX > 9xxxGTX > GTX 2xx renaming fiasco all over again, I'm cool with it. Those days were just plain dumb.

GTX970 used to be the secondary towards high end gpu cards.
The price it's available at seems to be like the mid end GTXX60 series last time.
Now Gamers can get to buy a near high end card.

Which means AMD will have to compete against price factor like nvidia. 

For some reason, Nvidia cards default to Limited RGB (16-235 levels of differentiation per color) when using HDMI, despite a PC display's ability to support full RGB (0-255 colors).

If you see four distinct shades, two white on the left, two black on the right, then you're in the clear. But if you only see a black and a white column, you have the problem.

To some gamers i think they dont consider that as high end.
Real high end ones are GTX980/980TI and 990 . As you can see the price jumps from double to triple the amount of gtx 970.
I myself using gaming msi gtx970 4g. To me.. it's underutilized for my mmo . Unless i plan to go triple screen gaming.

though stripped down, but the price is also cheaper, unless you can justify the extra 200+ with the little additional mega hertz and the iGPU.

at first i was also lean towards the i7, until i learnt the existence of xeons and their differences....

if wanna go i7, me myself would go with the overclockable K series, else just Xeon 

new beta driver had just been released.
