 utorrent 1.6 a spyware?

i've been noticing lately that AVG been scanning outgoing pop mails... and i checked the AVG log files and found out that utorrent is the culprit..

i've check utorrent's website FAQs and i can't find any references to this events..

anyone please advice..

I thought AVG is an antivirus program? How could it scan traces/ activities of spywares?

Just a sidenote, I have been using ver. 1.5 and I have no problems whatsoever.

You should post it in the program creator's forum (but I doubt they will answer you if it is 'really' a spyware thing).

Posting it in those forums with programming/software expert forumers would help however.

what I can gather from that thread and your log, you are connecting to a client with the port set as 110, usually used by pop3 (read more)

well.. i duno how utorrent works compared to other BT clients.. although the BT protocols should be standard.

with other BT clients.. i did't experience this 'event' though..


i might be wrong..

basic P2P, you're connecting to another client and that client use port 110.
