i've been using WB since WB 2.0 and it's now WB 5.0. I have never experienced any problems with WindowBlinds.

i thoroughly enjoy using WB. gives me different feel at different moods smile.gif

windowblinds is considered easy. It's a very powerful skinner (per-pixel shading and faux transparency) so you get to customize your desktop more than with any other program, excluding desktop replacement software (avedesk, desktopx)

whats the complaint?

Yahoo messenger 7.5 and 8.0 can't be skinned properly.

To fix this right click on yahoo icon go to properties, then compatibility, then check disable visual themes.

Only Yahoo7 and below works with WB

when i started to join this destop customizing world, i learn to crack the uxtheme.dll but then i found out my system began to slow and buggy after using those visual styles. So i ty to change to try the aston shell, where it replace explorer.exe shell and making it faster, but then i found it very difficult and sometimes unstable. At that time i don't really trust WB since its a 3rd party software and it surely it's a memory hogger, but when i tried it WB5 in my system, surprisely it's faster than using the uxtheme patcher so now, i stick with it now, eventho YM is not very compatible with WB, and now im using YM7.0, but anyway, for YM7.5 and above, you still can use it, as long you don't use the classic theme in YM

Make sure you got correct uxtheme, actually the patch didn't slowdown the system, but it may become sluggish when applying different or incorrect version

Windowsblind is a great app , especially if u like those mac-only theme which modders luv to port over to wb rather than vs smile.gif

For me, I prefer non-wb style biggrin.gif
