Hi sifus,
A quick question, for fixed price funds for non - bumi ASW 2020, ASM, AS1M.
The dividend is pro - rated am I right? - meaning that the dividend is counted by dividing to the total months you invest in a year? - which means that this is exactly like FD but higher return?
However, for variable priced funds like ASG etc. , the dividend is not pro - rated? Which means if I buy in november and income distribution (7%) is in december, and sell in january for variable priced, i will get the full non pro rated dividend of 7%?
I am a non bumi & managed to get some fund in ASW 2020, but I did not want to put much money because I thought at first dividend has already been declared end of Sept. so no point, putting in so much & wait, but if dividend is calculated monthly, this shouldn't matter anyway, coz the faster u put in, the more returns you can see during dividend time, yes?
Sorry for being long winded. First time investing lol.
Thanks a lot guys.
For variable price, div is calculated based on total units held just b4 div ntitlement
