Lewa os should be pre-root, but this Nokia x lewa custom ROM still have lots bugs and not stable yet, I tried it for a while but so laggy flash back to stock ROM.
bro, how did u flash back to stock ROM? u restore using lewa recovery backup? If yes, when you did a wipe, did you wipe all including dalvik, data, cache, system and sd card?
yesterday, try again lewa os...managed to solve the root access problem...but next problem occured. Facebook not working...after all, this rom surely consists of many bugs...flashed back to stock rom via restore from backup in lewa recovery.....
I dont always use 300 ringgit phone, but I bought this one and really am not happy with its performance. Lag like nobodys bussiness. Used 1 week fast fast let go already .For those that dont root and just use the phone as is , look somewhere else. This is not the phone you r looking for. Maybe X+ or XL . If nokia is hoping people will upgrade to a better windows phone uafter using this. They can keep hoping.
Customers will Fast fast go back to google android like I did.
Weird, I don feel lag at all...it even run asphalt 8 without noticeable lag....
I don't know about anyone else, but i agree with you, if you people want to buy a "phone" better stay from this phone, there a lots choices out there for that purposes. maybe X+ and XL will not give you even better experience if you buy it. for me, i bought it because i wanna try Nokia "android". for rm399, not so much to loose than trying phone with rm2k tag
upgrade to 11.1.1, will less lag
Honestly, even i did not upgrade firmware, i dont feel lag....
Anyone has any idea when is v 11.1.1 coming to Malaysia?
I find not much lag in my stock nokia x. No point for ppl to compare a rm349 phone with more expensive phones when it comes to spec or performance....maybe can compare with the yet to launch rm299 asus zenphone 4 in the future. If you want a phone for gaming then be prepared to pay more. The built of nokia x is really solid. The screen is nice. Speaker is loud. Phone call is clear. Camera is not bad, of course, don't mind if it is better. Battery is ok...just don't play too much of angry birds. No problem with most popular apps. Most importantly: Really like the idea of not being track by google.

I am curious...so do you usually use phones that are more expensive than rm300 or cheaper than rm300? If you usually use phone that are cheaper than rm300 and they perform better than nokia x, pls share with me which brand and model because I want to save some money. Tks

Yes...totally agree. For this price, no regret.
Im surprised when certain people compared this phone with motorola x and samsung flagship phone...come on la, this is merely a RM300 phone and cant event compared with it...It serves me well so far and i have no regret owning it as i used it to play games like asphalt 8, whatsapp, facebook, sms, calling, surfing chrome and watching TVB latest drama...lag? not at all lor...
Apps i used on nokia x dont suffer lag except nokia launchers. Always lag, so i used nova launchers now the phone doing great. After update, nokia launcher no more lag. I used my phone a lot watching anime, play castle clash, world at arms, fb, browsing internet.
NOKIA MALAYSIA AND STOREKINI WILL REWARD THE LOWYAT.NET NOKIA X COMMUNITY
You’ve seen the world’s first Android-based Nokia smartphone, the Nokia X, and are intrigued by what it can do. This is, after all, a Nokia smartphone running on the open-sourced AOSP – we’ve already seen someone running Nova Launcher on it, and we’re sure there are plenty more tinkering done beyond that from others.
Want to be a part of it? You’re in luck, because Nokia Malaysia is giving away four units of the Nokia X to the Lowyat.NET forum community.
The Nokia X, launched in Malaysia last month for RM399, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, and sports a 4-inch 480 x 800 display, There’s 4GB of internal storage, while the Nokia X also supports up to 32GB microSD cards. As for the camera, the dual-SIM device packs a 3MP fixed-focus sensor. Of course, the most interesting aspect would be its software: the Nokia X runs on a version of Android based on the Android Open Sourced Project (AOSP), while its UI is heavily influenced from Windows Phone and the Asha Platform’s Fastlane UI. The Nokia X Platform – as the operating system is called – has its own app store too, though savvy users can install other third-party Android app stores.
Want to win one of these devices for yourself? Nokia Malaysia has collaborated with Storekini to give away four units of the Nokia X to deserving forum members. They will be selecting one winner per week based on entries submitted on the Nokia X thread, where Nokia representatives will be choosing the best entry for the week to win one unit of the Nokia X. This giveaway will commence from this week for the next four weeks, and a Storekini representative will also be on hand to respond to queries on the thread itself.
How to win? Share, discuss, talk, give idea, technical, non-technical, everything about the Nokia X gives you a chance to win!
So, ready to contribute to the community and be in the running to win the Nokia X? Here's the Nokia X thread where it all happens!
To those who are still skeptic about this nokia x, i can run asphalt 8, whatsapp, facebook, surfing web, watching videos and do wonders with this phone. I have no regret of choosing this phone with the best return of money spent on it....Compared to it peers with this range of pricing, nokia x wows me and i am just a satisfy owner with this gadget...Awesome work nokia and i do hope your Nokia XL will come to Malaysia asap...cant wait for it...Thank you nokia
For those who want for another backup phone, this is a good choice. In fact, i have used this as my main phone instead. Some say, this is a basic smartphone for newbie who wants something simple...but i think it is so sophisticated and can cater all your needs of having the full function of a smartphone. Try it and you will know what i mean....
Does the Nokia X android support playstore and what is the version of android is based from? Very important is that is there any update on the android version?
no playstore support but there is nokia store to fulfill all your needs of apps. current version is 10.0.3 however new update is available soon which is 11.1.1.
Some changelog of new version which is there is no more waiting time when you close an app and return to home screen....more stability and performance upgrade.
Haha, My current phone is sufficient. But IF wins. That might change
Still... the amount of ram is disappointing
actually 512mb ram is sufficient to run most of the app. No noticeable lag thus far...only thing is when you close an app, a message will pop up saying wait a moment....somehow, this will take 2 secs by most. Nevertheless, this only flaw will be solved in next update of rom when it is available...
I was using Nokia Asha 501, why Nokia X UI which is an Android looks similar to my Asha? If I want to purchase an app on Nokia X, do I purchase it from Google PlayStore or Nokia OVI?
There's no play store support in nokia x. However, you may buy or download free app via nokia store. Most of the apps are there. Oh yea, in case you want to download whatsapp app, you may do these steps:
1. First, launch nokia store 2. Search for "1 mobile market" 3. Download and install the app 4. Open the 1 mobile market app 5. Search for "whatsapp messenger" 6. Download and install it. 7. Done.
About my previous question regarding apps, does the Facebook app in Nokia X follows Android UI or Asha UI?
Does Nokia X comes with gorilla glass or anti scratch screen etc?
facebook follows Android UI...no gorilla glass

How hard is it to install play store? Root needed?
You need to root but again your warranty will be void...both nokia store and 1 mobile market are sufficient for apps experience...then why bother must have play store? is such dispensable....
