nice pics...i haven't tried using RAW feature with my e500 yet...love to try it...any good references/links/books for the workflow and techniques?
some pics just look nicer with noise...esp those with flat color and lack details and esp b/w pics...it kinda breaks it up a lil bit so your eyes don't get strain by looking at large spaces of flat color... This post has been edited by aaeem: Dec 16 2006, 04:31 PM |

Thanks! some pics just look nicer with noise...esp those with flat color and lack details and esp b/w pics...it kinda breaks it up a lil bit so your eyes don't get strain by looking at large spaces of flat color... IMO, It's a very good habit to shoot in RAW. My 1st few photos with the 350D is already in RAW, i just followed the manual provided by Canon then step by step learn to use it myself. It's pretty easy, I do not know about the E-500 though, but i think they should be the same. Just the layout of the software is different. Btw, you do know that you need a software to develop those RAW files right? For canon, the software is called "Digital Photo Professional 2.0" and there's another one which i do not use. Adobe Photoshop has a way to process RAW files too, but i do not know how. It seems that you need a kind of plug-in for photoshop to do so. Hmmm... edit: you can try use uncle google to search for ways to learn how to process RAW though. Hehe This post has been edited by R a D ! c 4 L: Dec 16 2006, 04:40 PM |

And where you take all this pic and at what time ? currently now... because I do not have control over the 350D, it is not mine anyway... you skill getting pro and pro .. must learn from you after i get my DSLR . Im not getting any better at my rate... Like i said I do not have control over the 350D... I usually take my pics during sunsets as lights are more beautiful that time. I've missed alot of good shots due the fact that I do not own a DSLR of my own... |

QUOTE(R a D ! c 4 L @ Dec 16 2006, 04:38 PM) Thanks! For photoshop CS2, u can use adobe bridge to process the raw files. I'm not sure default camera raw files support 350D raw files or not, but u can download latest adobe camera raw here. Installation instructions is provided.
