I managed to temporary increase credit limit with reason for medication payment ... can I use the card to pay somewhere else such as groceries or oversea transactions?

QUOTE(HeReLiSm @ Apr 26 2014, 09:47 PM) None of my transactions today recorded in M2U. I had the same issue last time for hotel booking and they only charged me after a few months!

QUOTE(ckyow1 @ Apr 28 2014, 11:09 PM) The max temporary increase in credit limit is just around 30% to 50% of your credit limit. Forget about double or more. In addition, most of the time only customer who have good payment record is able to get it, not anyone request they will let it increase just because of emergency. I am working as CS officer at bank previously. Most importantly, don't simply request the temporary increase for fun. Any amount that you have requested to increase must be paid in full amount in the following statement due date, otherwise your account will be highlighted as over limit and 18% will charge to your account, plus over limit fees for some bank. I don't know which bank you worked before but the bold part is not a case for me. I requested to increase 100% of my CL and it has been approved to pay my dad medical expenses last few months. During the time, I had request for a few times and all were approved with 100% increase. Perhaps I am a good pay master. . Only this time, I have a little concern as I requested to increase because I want to travel oversea but gave reason medical expense. I just curious if they stop my card while I in overseas. That would be .. since everyone say OK, I can go and clear all my card to spend later. . My card CL is just small (RM10k). I didnt want to request permanent CL increase because I want to keep RM50 cash back higher in percentage. LOL.

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Apr 29 2014, 12:04 PM) what this have to do with the RM50 cashback? if you got RM20k credit limit..still the cashback is capped at RM50... u worry you will spend more in the month? Exactly. RM50 over 10k is higher percentage than RM50 over 20k. Owing bank for RM10k with -ve interest after those cash backs and TP.

guys, I missed payment for 2nd time last 2 months due to travel oversea ... I called the CS to get interest revise back to 8.88% but seems they didn't approve it. This month still been charge 17% interest which very shitty. So, I am planning to cancel the card and re-apply later. will I get 8.88% back? Thanks

QUOTE(supersound @ May 12 2014, 03:33 PM) You got M2U, right? Can always pay online before due date. Now I'm going to Qatar soon, Maybank cards I have no problem only my WISE that has the problem on payment, maybe have to pay in advance Case by case I would say. If you are a regular customer in online buying, banks will replace the card faster. My OCBC card almost being replaced once every 1.5 years. But I guess if not doing online purchase all the time, they will replace the card slower. Yup, I normally paid via M2U but missed due to not checking in M2U. Just missed a couple of days! dem it!
