Hye guys just need to validate what is going on my mind actually.heres the scenario:
Statement date : 12 of every month Payment due date according to the bank: 1st of every month.
So basicly im validating the part of when i should make the exact payment and when is the interest free period.
If i swipe my cc anything before 12/7(statement date),example 8/7. Means that during the statment being issued,i need to pay on the 1st of august am i right?
And lets say i swipe my cc AFTER the statement date(12/7) example on 13/7. I need to wait for the statement on 12/8 which is the payment due is on 1st of september(1/9) am i right?
Thanks for the help first of all.i just need to reconfirm if what i think is the correct procedure

One more question actually i need to ask, About installment plans.this is quite a confusion actually. Example the selected outlet which have a maybank card merchant but the shop doesnt do installment plan.its still new. Can i like swipe the total amout of the price of the object, then call the bank and ask them to do installment plan for like 6 months? Ps : my friend will wave the interest charges of the 2% when i swipe for the object

My friend is the one is selling to me the object.meaning interest from merchant.so hes gonna waive the 2% interest when i swipe with him.the one at maybank is obviously not my friend haha.
So even though call maybank to do indtallment with them still will charge interest?
