Minoxidil must be used continuously, if stopped, you hair will start to fall off again.
Better not to rely too much on that. |

one thing to stress again...it is form some western forum.
Minoxidil will not work in long term There are many types of shampoo, or vitamins, supplements, Saw Palmetto, cresina...(if oua re lucky u can see in my blog ads), they normally will not work as there is not or not enuff medical study. U can also check what is inside those vitamins. Propecia, unfortunately is the only feasible solution... Propecia user, mind to vote in my hair loss blog below?I am getting some survey of the sides effect.. thanks for voting |

I use propecia for about 3 months di.. hair I think drops much lesser.. Dad's genes I guess. But I had a major hair loss recently because bfr this I was hving a diff look..diff hair style.. so used clay glay rubber to style my hair. And allot of hair drops by pulling and shaping it.. I get my months (28 pills) supply from my co's pharmacy for rm110 after employee rebate and a free hair loss shampoo inno strand by swissvernice. Anyone heard of it bfr? Might try proscar if its much cheaper... But wat worries me is ¾ of it will be expose to air and who knows wat oxidation might do to it.. Anyways I do hope the propecia would work wonders.. And after reading 26 pages of this thread.. u guys give up tooo easily.. 1 months of supply wont work at all.. especially whn it takes atleast 2 years to thin yr hair down.. Whn u take propecia, u'd notice in the beginning allot of yr thin hair drops.. it's a sign tat those hair are unhealthy and the pill is taking effect. U'd notice yr hair to be thicker after atleast 3 months.. yr hair needs to adapt to the new surrounding and grow b normally. |

Question for those using minoxidil: where did you buy it from, and if from overseas did you have any problems with customs when you import from overseas?

May b some baby hair in frontal. But if u talk about hair thickness, I not happen to me instead I feel may hair getting thinner. I do have hair drops, shedding at the 4th week++, then stop But recently, start from 30th week till now, my hair drops more rapidly. It includes baby hair and mature hair. You can read my blog at below (hair loss blog) for more details. But I really think this is the only option I have now. |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Mar 7 2008, 07:43 PM) yeah guys what do you think of Nioxin? I'm thinking of trying the System 1/System 2 Cleanser and Scalp Therapy, but not the Scalp Treatment as that will cost a bomb. The Cleanser and Therapy itself is expensive enough. Also where can I buy Nioxin products? Nioxin shampoo is great. It is good to combat itchy scalp. But the problem is, where can i buy this in Malaysia ? QUOTE(researcherzone @ Feb 3 2008, 06:46 PM) Is there anyone using Nioxon or Hairback products? Yes. I am. My main problem is itchy scalp. Tried Clear, Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue and none of them worked for me. Then my cousin brought me back two bottles of Nioxin Shampoo system 6 from US. It's really great. It is pretty cheap in US but the problem is my cousin doesn't come back every year. And he can't possibly bring back a year supply to me everytime he comes back. Custom will suspect something. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: May 27 2008, 03:50 PM |

Nioxin Shampoo is only good for cleansing your scalp from polluttants, If you are having Pattern Baldness, there is only 2 FDA approved treatment for you which is
Finasteride (Propecia) and Minoxidil (Rogaine) Initially when you use this products your hair follicles will shed. that is because the new hair follicles are starting to grow from below. It's normal to lose more hair initially. If you want a good Minoxidil 5% Get Head Way..which i am using..much cheaper..remember all minoxidil is the same..no need rogaine.. One more thing to note..shampoos do not cure hair loss..if you have genetic problem..then it's hard to reverse..you need more intensive treatment..don't use products that don't work. The longer you use effective treatments..the more hair you will lose. Trust me! Regards, Calvin |

QUOTE(ajienergetic @ Aug 22 2008, 05:23 PM) Honestly..your hair does not grow back in 1 month because it only grows half an inch a month. And if RM4 can get ur hair back...all the hair loss centers and medical research spent on hair loss would go bankrupt overnight. So do consider your options properly before trying alternative treatments..Added on August 22, 2008, 6:24 pm QUOTE(seesawseen2k @ Apr 21 2008, 11:16 PM) I bought mine from lelong.com.my, is there anyone tried to import from oversea before?
