Just wanna ask bro, I'm sure it will work since you guys done it before. The question is by disconnecting it, what exactly it's disconnecting? Just want to be sure before my own attempt.
*
if i'm correct the default cable connected is actually to bypass your boot alarm
so that u don't need to unlock your car first to open up the boot

I see but I don't know why it didn't work for my City '09 E spec  ohmy.gif I unplug the connector, lock my car, then open the boot with my car key, still no alarm sound. Should I check with SC?  icon_question.gif
*
wait for about 15 second after locking the car then only try to open the boot again
city alarm takes 15 second to activate whole system, any unlocking done within this 15 second
will not activate the alarm buzzer rclxms.gif

btw i'm using pure coolant without adding any water into it,this only happens twice, the first time the coolant decrease until it reach min level, for this time it just decrease half of it within 2 months

hmmm its definitely leaking somewhere ... now it doesnt necessarily need to show a big puddle of red or whatever color liquid under your car as it might be a slow leak and they would have evaporated by the time it leaks out ...

refill it again and monitor ...

i was also told some collant can be used directly ... where else some needs water added ...

not sure ... but if it was replaced at the sc ...shoul dbe fine

just top up and check
*
thx bro, will check whether it leaking slowly or not
this happen once before, the water level drop until min level and it maintain at max level after refill for about few months but i have tried to add pipe water before, not sure whether is the pipe water evaporate or there is a leakage

Question for City (2009-2013YM)
======================
What if we lock the car using alarm, and then open the car using key?

Would the alarm trigger?
If yes, how to disable the alarm?

Thanks.
*
yes it will, it will trigger the alarm if u lock the car with your remote and unlock it using your key
do you mean how to disable the alarm if it triggered?
as in the manual,it only can be disable through your remote
and i have done a test before, lock the car with remote and unlock it with key
the alarm triggered and i try to start the car though that it will disable the alarm
but unfortunately even the car started the alarm still shouting there sad.gif

Mind to share how you solved the issue?
*
i am not sure what else can stop the alarm other than the remote sad.gif
as the manual only said that the alarm only can be disable after triggered by using remote only blink.gif

Mine is the 2011 model and it will not

apparently when u use the key to open, it will trigger the unlock on the alarm ... vice versa when u lock it with the key

unlike the old school cars or alarm, the lock and unlock option is only via the remote
*
mine 2012 version will triggered the alarm if i lock it with remote and unlock it with key
even i lock it with the key, it will also activate the alarm same as locking using remote

Just to share with you guys, I'm driving city 09, last few days my car been broken in. They thief broke in through the bonnet key hole, seem it's pretty to break in. Now I can use any key to open my car bonnet. I know that some workshop has sell the bonnet lock to replace the original one, but i couldn't find one.

My city now don't have 3 times signal flashing when I lock the door, and single flashing when I unlock the car? Maybe alarm system kaput dy? Even after I lock the door, there should be red blinking light on the dashboard, now it's disappear..

And I need suggestion to change my car security system, anyone know any workshop that I can get reasonable price for  system in PJ?
*
sounds like the alarm sensor cannot detect ur boot whether it is closed or not
the problem u mention which no flashing light and red light on meter only occur when i open the boot
and lock the door using remote,it only flash 3 times and the red led appear on the meter after i close the boot
meaning to say that ur alarm still though that u haven't close ur boot even you already closed it

maybe just the sensor on the boot kaput ady not the whole alarm system

sad.gif Hi All Sifus,

I had driven the city about 8 months.

I noticed city seems to have sluggish pick up.

Anyone want to comment on this issue.

Many thanks
*
it is due to the 5 speed auto for 1.5l ivtec
u won't feel sluggish when driving 1.8l ivtec,
thats why china city has 1.8l option but due to city fuel tank is only 40litre so it is not so fuel efficiency

I too feel is sluggish during pick up
Someone has shared before, the 5AT is actually more suited for 1.8 L R18A i-VTEC SOHC I4 140hp
*
agree, had seen the review on 1.5l ivtec at there said that 5 speed auto is more suitable for civic 1.8l
honda china even release 1.8l option for their city but due to the small fuel tank
they said that they have to refuel more often than 1.5l

I did that already. But my laptop bag was stolen from the boot and the alarm did not sound. I suspect it was broken into right after I walk away from the car. As far as I know, the alarm is not fully activated after u lock the car. It take around 1min
*
the alarm only takes around 15 second to be activate
so if the alarm didn't sound maybe the thief only take 15 second to open the boot? sad.gif

Hi Guys , i try petronas RON 97 but seem no different  !!!! how about your city ? Please share share here and merry x-mas to all of u . Thanks
*
try shell ron97,it feel really different in terms on overtaking at highway
when using ron95,it feels like the sound very rough and the power like not enough
but when using ron97,i can feel that the engine is smoother when overtaking and you can feel the power also

by the way, there are some petrol station mixing ron95 into ron97 and sell it as ron97 blush.gif

I am still using ROn95. Our City minimum RON rating is RON91 so I don't think we can really benefit from using RON97. Cars with light pressure turbo (e.g. Preve, Kuga etc) will benefit from using RON97.
*
try first, you will feel the difference seriously
i just refuel back to ron95 and it really feel difference from ron97
