Hi, can anyone advise if M8S is descent enough of an android box?
*
Yup. Should be decent. Using it myself. Great hardware. Can play downloaded mkv files smoothly from 1TB external HD with dolby/thx sound quality (requires latest firmware update).

I have 1GB RAM box. What's the max cache I can set? That is after considering the amount of RAM to run android and Kodi.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2GB RAM box. I read that AmLogic s812 M8S is quite good. Any users that can comment on this box?
*
hi, i am using it right now. so far so good. no issue. most of the time watching kodi, MoviesHD and CartoonHD. Watching downloaded MKV movies also no issues smile.gif.

I am using a mini TV box. out of sudden my genesis is not installed and is unable to install. anyone facing this issue?
*
update the KODI software?
you can preserve the current setting by renaming the data file before update and rename it back once you have installed the new version.

Guys... I have some movies from shared PC (SMB) that is not showing up in KODI. I tried renaming based on IMDB but still not showing up in KODI. I can play smoothly from PC though. Anybody experienced this before? Any solution?

Can't update library from menu?
Or set to auto update library from: System > Setting > Video > Library > Update library on start up
*
I did try to refresh and manual update the library but still didnt show up.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jan 11 2016, 09:04 PM)
Place each movie in individual folders, reboot system, network & android box.. Launch KODI & update library... You should also look into manual library management using media managers like MediaElch, Ember, MCM, etc. Then set scrapping to be done locally instead from the internet. Ember has a feature to rename movie files and folders in the format KODI easily recognises..

Ok. Will try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
