QUOTE(kennykong85 @ Jan 4 2016, 01:40 PM) I juz bought zidoo tv box, and theres a kodi app there but unable to run at all... anyway I ll take my time to read all the sifu guidance here from page 1 till the end to learn it. Be aware, things changes very fast, a lot of old stuff might not be applicable anymore. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jan 4 2016, 03:56 PM) SALTS working on the Beast build here... Just tested with MI5, links found and it played. Took a few taps though as it didn't populate the links on first try. Hmmmm.... not sure.Cos I was testing it out with the same TV show (eg: Jessica Jones) The beast fail to load any links for me while shism TV load 720p links for me on first try. So thats y i'm suspecting on the configuration side. |

QUOTE(lala_cai @ Jan 4 2016, 06:03 PM) Hmmmm.... not sure. Marvel's Jessica Jones right? Tested episode 11 and got playable links with subs. So yeah, its possibly a configuration thing. SALTS's settings needs manual fine tuning.Cos I was testing it out with the same TV show (eg: Jessica Jones) The beast fail to load any links for me while shism TV load 720p links for me on first try. So thats y i'm suspecting on the configuration side. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jan 3 2016, 11:55 PM) Hmm, been awhile since I dabbled with Ubuntu & it's like... Try installing Synaptic package manager to handle package installs and removal. Do check if your hardware is supported by Kodiubuntu, particularly the WiFi drivers. Kodiubuntu. Your system should be able to run Lubuntu, it being designed for lightweight systems. Have you tried the fuller Ubuntu on it? Either way, you can still install KODI as a program from the official KODI PPA. actually i was planning on using this rig to attach to tv, because this one is spare rig without monitor. so i was hoping that after the pc is turned on, it directly opens kodi, i dont want the desktop. isit possible if i install ubuntu or any other full linux os but directly open kodi after boot? |

QUOTE(lala_cai @ Jan 4 2016, 01:15 PM) Guys, I have tested 2 builds of kodi, the beast 1.5 and Schism TV. that seems to the the experience at this time. Not sure what i'm doing wrong but I cant get SALTS to load anything (cant find source or link fail) on The Beast but on Schism TV, I do not face that problem. I thought both SALTS will uses the same source link? i could not get anything on SALTS with BEAST to work a week ago. today, it starts to work! may be servers' problems, bad traffic, sabotage, etc... give it time, it may yet work! |

QUOTE(epulrocks @ Jan 4 2016, 07:07 PM) few months ago i already tested my system with ubuntu, everythings working perfectly including wifi. Yeah, sure you can get KODI to auto-start in Ubuntu. You can configure other applications that should be started at login, in addition to the default startup applications configured on the system. For a smoother experience, during the initial Ubuntu installation setup, you'll be asked if you require entering the username & password upon login or being automatically logged on. Agree to the latter. If you already said yes, then you need to go to System Settings--->System--->User Accounts---><your_username> (something like that, pulled off memory) and make sure it's set to automatically log in. Then with the help of the "gnome-tweak-tool" or "startup application"......See below;actually i was planning on using this rig to attach to tv, because this one is spare rig without monitor. so i was hoping that after the pc is turned on, it directly opens kodi, i dont want the desktop. isit possible if i install ubuntu or any other full linux os but directly open kodi after boot? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Alternatively.... there's also Ubuntu Tweak and this. I managed to install Salts and Genesis on my Sony tablet and play via Chromecast, so far so good.
I also bought a preconfigured Xiaomi Mibox with Kodi, but I noticed the links on Salts are different and most of it doesn't work. How to I redo Salts on the Xiaomi? Do I need to delete some files? |
