awesome setup  thumbup.gif

if u don't mind sharing, what broadband u are using and speed? just curios chief  hmm.gif

just share my setup here with my Rpi2 for sound system...

1. I have connected my Rpi2 to Denon AVR
2. I always watch movie with 720 OR 1080 depends on the movie i select AND most of the sound system comes with 2.0
3. yesterday, i was watching Jurassic Park (the 1st one) - 1080 video selection from KODI+2.0 sound system. the sound system from the movie via my Denon AVR (i was really thrashing the speakers loudly) was AWESOME until the neighbors kids come n c the movie together... thumbup.gif

my 2cents

cheers

Hi Raj,
I have a 7.1 channel setup with one of the best AVR in the world Anthem MRX (Most ppl don't even know about this brand) with Cambridge Audio Minx speakers. My main NAS has about 15 TB storage full of HD/Bluray/3D movies and English Dramas smile.gif and is connected to the AVR. This easily play DTS-HDMA, TRUE-HD in 7.1 through my cinema screen TV.
My FireTV is also connected with same setup which i mostly use for Netflix, Amazon Instant Prime Video & Hulu or my kids use it also to watch local media from my NAS.
RPI 2 i recently bought to test and see what this can do... So far i can say i'm quite happy with the performance of RPI 2 and would happily recommend to anyone as far as HD-Audio is not a requirement.
I found OSMC the most stable on RPI-2 and that's what i'm using... I need to build another system for my bed room and i think RPI-2 will sure do the job smile.gif
I have a 20MBPS Unify line and play online contents and IPTVs without any struggle.. this also could be that i have made changes in "Kodi" "advanced settings" file to buffer movie while playing and due to high speed network most of the time my play is fully buffered before even reaching half way.

BTW why you playing your Kodi in 2.0? do you only have 2 speakers connected with your Denon? RPI-2 can easily handle 5.1/7.1.... my current config is 7.1 on my RPI with Passthrough and i don't see any problem with it playing 5.1/7.1 in DTS/DD.

Bro as much i don't want to get into any argument with anyone.. but frankly Cable Quality does make a difference in Sound & Visuals smile.gif... I have used many of the out of box cables for both Audio & Video and also expensive brands and even for speakers etc... These cables does make a difference. You can look for Monster, QED and few other such brands though if you do not have high quality media contents or a highend TV with bigger size may not make much difference and worth the extra $$$.

I have even made custom on-demand Audio/Video cables for my Home-theatre system in past so have first hand experience.

Bro you are welcome smile.gif... The easiest way is either install IPTV Simple Client or Playlist Loader, either one will work depending on you like to watch. Playlist Loader Add-on is available in "Super Repo" and IPTV Simple Client you can download from this link http://www.bbtsip.tv/iptv-simple-client2.html

any of the drives fail you gonna lose quite a portion of the media.
can easily implement software parity both in windows and linux.
*
Well bro you are right, i will lose data/movies and it's not difficult to implement but that would require me to have more HDDs for my 15TB data.... and as i said earlier these are just movies smile.gif
Touch wood in last 6+ years i haven't lost a single disk and i hope this will continue be a record smile.gif

Is it my 2 year old hdmi unit or is it normal?  Many channel quality are not really good?

Channels are of different quality, most of them are stated as SD & HD if it's not HD you can expect a poor quality.

it is good, thanks. thumbup.gif

serves to compliment other iptv's in kodi.
for benefit of new users and to check if i missed anything, i believe we have so far, in kodi, these iptv's:

1. addon - livestreampro from abemin
2. addon - bbts
3. addon - iptv stalker
4. iptv simple client - rizchannels

iptv stalker is down at the moment, so the rest serve as backup. we are covered! rclxms.gif

IPTV stalker is down cuz it's going to be a paid one soon.

Along with my own list of IPTVs (http://bit.ly/rizchannels , which contains around 250 channels)
here's the list of best IPTV Add-ons which i have tested and found best among many.

Best & Easy
1. IPTVxtra (has channels for MY, UK and many other... )
2. Zeus Video
3. Channel Pear
4. Filmon

Also good but not as good as above
5. Robinhood Project
6. IPTV Stalker (going to be paid soon)

If anyone interested in Indian/Pakistani channels ZemTV is the best.

If you looking for Kids Movies/Shows Live/recorded below are the best Addons
1. cartoongo
2. Kiddie Cartoons
3. Kiss Cartoon

If you know any good Addons do let me know

this iptv stalker... i like to explore a bit...

it has been down for last 2-3 days. not coming back anymore?

the curious thing is i saved a few channels as fav and they still work using fav. under addon, nothing, all dead.

i also tried an apk called stalker iptv (same thing, i believe) but it does not work yet - can't register as member.

anyone hv same/diff experience, kindly share.
*
Bro the new is that itv Stalker is not coming back as a free... Anyways just one or two posts up i have listed all the Add-ons which will give you if not better same experience and list of channels as IPTV stalker or you can use my channels list with almost 250 channels.
