Hello desktop customizers!

I've recently started an open source wallpaper sharing community called Wallgig in early December out of boredom at university. It currently has over 800+ members and 45k wallpapers on the website (and counting!).

Unlike other wallpaper sites, I focused more on the searching and filtering of tags, categories and colors. I'm pushing new features almost everyday when I have the time!

The source code's available here if you're interested to learn how it is built! https://github.com/wallgig/wallgig/.

Thanks for your support!

thanks for your compliment!

i'm proud to say that i built it from scratch biggrin.gif. i used the Ruby On Rails framework to increase my coding efficiency.

the server currently runs on donation. i'm beginning to put ads on the forums but it does not generate as much revenue right now. i use Chef to automatically upgrade packages and software so server maintenance is very automated. i use Capistrano to deploy new versions of my application without downtime.
