Only thing, is usually, the pullback tak cukup.

Well this where fundamentals helps.
If you know that the stock could have a chance to triple its earnings from here ( based on earnings blah blah blah)
and you are VERY sure of your homework...
and you still very want the stock...
then just chase it.

if you are not willing or you are not convinced of the future prospect....

you better just take out the hanky..........................
and start crying....

What is quickly noted is that from 2011, the stock had been trending down badly till 2013...

I know, the past is past but if we dunno a bit about the past then can we safely know the future?

Net cash company?
Net cash is one thing but when you look at what happen from 2011 to 2013, aren't you doing to ask how come the stock trended down?

This is where you need to do the homework and check out the profit numbers.

Doesn't need to be so super clever with numbers but if you want to be good in the market,

2009 - 26 million profit
2010 - 28 million profit - profit increased
2011 - 25 million profit - decreasing profit
2012 - 37 million profit - one good year
2013 - 18 million profit - very bad profit decline - property sector contributed much less
14Q2 - 8 million profit - so far so good this year. Half year earnings already 17 million
14Q1 - 9 million profit
13Q4 - 1 million profit  - so small profit?
13Q3 - 3 million profit - 3 million profit last year? If Ekson got stuff, it should easily beat this numbers, this quarter

Half year current earnings is 17 million.
Annualising it and assuming no extra growth, profit maybe can reach 34 million.
Which will be a good improvement!!!!

If you have done this, you can make some mini conclusion/notes.....

1. Company overall, is a MAH MAH DEI company only. Average only.
2. Good year earnings can come and go very fast.

Now try relate the numbers with the chart and see what kind of small story it can sell...

Stock started declining since hitting the high in Apr/May 2011.
Compare that to the nearest quarter earnings.

That time Ekson reported its 2011Q4 earnings.
Telling the market its 2011 profits dropped from 28 to 25 million.
You can see in the zoomed out chart, after May 2011, the stock started dropping.....

Profits decline, stock also decline.....

How did the market react to Ekson earnings when it improved from 25 million to 37 million in 2012?
From the chart I see a low of about 95 sen and a high of 115 sen only.
95 sen to 115....
20 sen gain only....
No love from the market despite the terror geng earnings?
That's the past.

Now trend is clearly stronger.
mid nov last year, the stock low is 90+- sen.
yesterday the stock close 144.

Big improvement already.....
Stock fly from 90 sen to 144 sen jor...

Nowadays property stocks geng hor.....
Now what?
What you rate Ekson future?

So far, we can easily make guess, and assume Ekson profits this year will be geng.
But the stock already jalan kereta jor.
From 90+ sen, it is now 144 sen.
Trend looks strong....

And then if we need to ask if Ekson can be a home run, big money stock......
To do so, we have to ask if Ekson earnings is sustainable.
If Ekson cannot have 2 or 3 year consecutive profit growth...
how to attract the growth investors?
When we compare the profits since 2009, we know Ekson only mah mah dei.......

Stronger volume on the 14th and then company announcing its buying back its shares....

By then... the trend changed.
Clear for anyone to see.
I am sure you know that charts pattern changed.
The momentum of the stock shifted.
Backed by the company share buyback, GUH shares trended stronger and stronger...

With this change in trend, stock gap up, stronger volume, continued share buysback... stock goung higher...
