I used to hold both, but somehow Cscenic price more stable lei plus recently divy drop from Uchitec.

Just my view on this smile.gif
*
Just saying in terms of business model only.

Fundamental wise?
Yes you are correct to point out that divy dropped.
And this is a very good point.
Many fail to realise dividends are NOT constant.
Divy payout can decrease one.
And you should note that Uchi profits dropped a fair bit too. wink.gif
(And Uchi is clearly no longer the darling stock of the yestery years...
and this would mark the 3rd annual decline in profits for Uchi)

And you also note that Cscenic profits had declined even more. wink.gif
(no profits where get good dividends?)

Ah Boon,

Uchitec business was affected after 2010 europe debt crisis, their business mainly in Europe for the component of Coffee machine.

then last year or two years ago, their pioneer status (Tax free) had expired and they just renew it recently.
*
See the coffee machine I use is the one from the Kedai kopi.
Order my fishball noodles and then my kopi peng....
And you can guess what kind of coffee machine they use. tongue.gif

Never bought the stock before but it was one of the hot stocks when I started look see look see market. tongue.gif

Its unique business model icon_rolleyes.gif

doh.gif

what unique? tongue.gif

I think you don't really want me to answer that. tongue.gif

ANSWER is the profits growth la.

Dig a little you will get this.

2010 - 20 million
2011 - 22 million
2012 - 27 million
2013 - 34 million
2014 - 19.7 million Half year
Trailing - 40 million

That above is EXPLOSIVE profits growth...

Which is why the share price fly and fly so much.

And this is why I don't get people fighting over dividends.

You get the company with explosive growth,
buy early...
soon the dividend yield will also be impressive cos you got in early

You need to understand stocks more clearly.

You need to know why some stocks can run and run...

Ah Tan just placed MyEg on to the table as an example.

This is the type of stock you want to aim for. thumbup.gif

Look at the chart...
Do you want to be known as the one who spotted it early, went in at 80 sen and got out at 1.25?
Answer is NO right.
You want to buy and sell it right.
Don't just sell it for any profit.

And cut it 8.

11 still too much.

Feel the same here

Little Book Of Valuation - a bit hard/dry to digest
Intelligent Investor - tried to read it at least 3 times, stopped after a few pages.
One Up on Wall Street - interesting but find some of his points are contradicting. Will raise these for clarification when I have finished reading it.

Cheerio.

Intelligent Investor? The newer version is easier to read.

The middle few chapters is a MUST if you want to follow the value investing path. thumbup.gif

laugh.gif

Please don't call me that....
Plus I am NOT an investor...

Every now and then...
you will see me trading one or two cartoonic stocks. laugh.gif laugh.gif

And strangely.. I hardly trade any stocks based on 'value asset play'..... sweat.gif

For me, PROFIT GROWTH is the the biggest ASSet in value.... sweat.gif

Ask yourself this...
you can have a company...
very valuable in assets.......
but the managers....
eat full sell pau....
every year...
meet same sales target .... cukup....
cos they focused on being well managed and very conservative and not risk adverse to new business challenges.....
so year in year out...
they churn out lebih kurang same profits....

market? see them as boring...
profits every year same only....
so they no buy...
stock slowly drift lower....
and suddenly the company becomes a 'VALUE' stock.

Is that value to me?
Is that what I can a valuable company?
My answer is no.
Company is sitting on their backside and not making any effort to improve.

Noted and thanks.

I have compiled a list of value companies for my investment later (waiting for the coming BIG dip! Ha). In the study, noted that the performance of good value stocks is 1/3 or less of some high growth <removed> induced companies! Guess I should just stay with better than average return than aiming for 10 or 20 baggers. Too many political chains in some of the 10 bagger companies. Outside my comfort zone, too volatile etc.

Cheerio.

Sticking to what you are comfortable with, works most of the time.
