why don't we have something like a verified member status like in lelong

so we cannot just simply create accounts when we like need to verufy our I/C or Passport or any form of identification

but as moderator say, this forum is not for trading lah ...

before we deal with seller, jz request the seller IC's copy if u felt unsecure and get his bank account detail... if the IC's full name matched with his/her bank account... can means tat this transaction is valid, even he want to con u also dun have the chances...

in this case, seller also takut leh ...

how you know they will use ur ic to do wat ?

this topic has been discussed numerous times. I think mod should close this thread and pin up the old discussions. Must stress that mods and owner is already doing their best to run this board. Implementing those methods are not possible/feasible.

scan the IC in black and white and do a big watermark across the IC's copy... example like write this IC's copy to whom and for what purpose and sure that will put my bulk's URL linking at there also... so what they can do with a IC copy with full of watermarks? but is depend on the seller how to convinence the buyers, except the reputation, i think dont hv other methods...

if u desire the security of IC-verified status & safetrade, u can always trade simultaneously at lelong & here. but remember, 'bigfry' conman can also abuse the verified status to con.

the best way to prevent fraud is YOURSELF. be a wise buyer.

even though using verified member still got people con, but i personally think this move will drastically drop chances of conning
