Bro how much Hana v3? Is it around RM900+? Where u buy? One more, anyone can teach me which size khantal to use to get about 1.5 - 1.7 ohm? How many wraps to do for micro coil? When I wrap always around 2.5 ohm.  icon_question.gif

I got it 920 bucks from Le Gadgets but i think theyre sold out now. You need to lurk around i guess. But a normal DIY local dna30 can be had for 600 bucks.

Use this rule of thumb, the lower the kanthal gauge the more wraps is needed to get a higher resistance (ohm). Eg. A 28 gauge would need around 7-8 wraps for 1.2 while it takes 9-10 wraps on a 26 gauge kanthal. Also the size of the coil matters when ure wrapping, i use a 2mm drill bit to wrap my coils

My current setup is 8 wraps microcoil of 26 gauge and getting 0.9 ohm.

The DNA20/30 mod is abang2 mod one. I still used my mechanical mods bought last year.

For budget around +- 200, suggest u buy the variable voltage/wattage mod. No hassle to maintain. Buy one RBA, few supplies & some juice, then ur good to go.

Yeap.. Some beginner vv/vw mods such as Vamo, itaste mvp etc. The one with the electronics. U can control the voltage & wattage to suit ur taste.

Mechanical mod in the other hand is quite hard for beginner to use. But if ur friends is using it or u got proper guidance in the forum or FB, then it's not a problem. It's kinda fun actually once u go into mech mod and rebuildable atomizer. brows.gif

Hana uses the dna30 chip from Evolv and its a variable wattage device that goes up to 30 watts. Provari is a variable voltage. Also dna30 devices can go as low as 0.3 ohm. Provari i think 1.0, no sub ohming there.

I prefer 26 and 28 gauge i get more flavor from them.

Low ohm - good battery life or bad?
How does ohm determine flavor?

Awesome thanks a lot for the tips guys rclxms.gif Appreciate it.

Seems like mostly are mechanical mods for sale rather than variable wattage types... Might give the one on lelong.com a shot.

its heat, the hotter the coil the more liquid it burns off thus more flavour, a low ohm build burns off the liquid faster since it heats up quicker and thus you get more flavour in a short burst = tastier vape = more liquid is used = more $$$

mechanical mods are usually fixed and outputs power relative to the battery you use, also it fluctuates a lot, a variable wattage/voltage device gives you a constant vape due to it being regulated. A fully charged battery gives out roughly 4.7 volts and your vape diminishes in quality after some time since your battery gets weaker. A VV/VW device will basically 'force' your battery to output the same amount of power every time, it stresses the battery but you get a constant vape.

I recommend a Sony VTC4 battery (2100mah) or the new Efest purple battery 2600mah (i think) when using VV/VW devices especially on sub ohm builds, it has a higher amperage limit = safer.

have fun vaping! thumbup.gif

correction, battery charges maxes at 4.3v, but usually at 4.2v...

on another note, regarding atomizer resistance, your coil diameter also will affect the resistance level..

this is based on my experience on 30awg kanthal:

* 1.4mm diameter drillbit 7 wraps = 1.2ohm

* 2.0mm diameter drillbit 7 wraps = 1.6ohm

the bigger your coil diameter, the lesser wraps are needed to get lower resistance...

smaller diameter requires more wraps to get the desired resistance..
