QUOTE(mbax @ Sep 2 2014, 11:04 AM) can as long as there is $$$... Thanks for the detailed info.Mine is the 8speed,the china brand trinx KA2016, not sure what parts they use,the brakes written shimano Vbrake. The original 451 seems strange for me to ride, just a day my rims are bent and the brake rubber already holding while it spins.I need to learn how to tune /adjust it.How you guys make this skinny 451 wheel ride better,by going more slow speed?ok on the seriousnote, your is 7 speed 8speed or 9 speed? as the 7 speed mostly use cog type while some 8 speed is cog or cassette (depend on brand) type and 9 speed is cassette type. then got to get new wheelset that is not so cheap here in bolehland... also check whether your fork and frame can accept bigger wheel or not.. ur bike use caliper or v-brake or disc brake? if v-brake it will be cheaper to change. if caliper brake hen need to get long reach type which is ab it hard to get these day, if disc brake then erm err not sure about the availability bcoz never check.. my oyama use 451 profile wheel with caliper brake, try to change but it cost to much so i stick to 451.. QUOTE(H2D @ Sep 2 2014, 12:39 PM) if u r not tht heavy try lower the pressure a bit... In the mean time , I will try on a lower pressure.451 tyres ... most are skinny type... to use 406 depends on if u wana spend the $$$ n effort n time... just like mbax stated... QUOTE(Zelmel @ Sep 2 2014, 10:37 PM) If I am from PJ how should I go there? Where should I park my car? Or I should ride LRT go there? QUOTE(Zelmel @ Sep 7 2014, 06:20 PM) Happy to go KL CFM today. Nice ride. Just smile with everyone. ✌️ Same here, happy to ride on KL CFM today. Now I feel I need more speed for my foldie. 7-speed is not enough. But upgrading will be more expensive right then buying new one? So far my 8-speed is sufficient for me.Speaking about speed, any foldie with higher speed? like 9/10 X 3 After a few ride with it, I getting used to my skinny bike tires. I went for 3 rounds full route of KL CFM.There were many people taking photos at KLCC with sticks. When I first bought my foldie, I was also thinking bout upgrading, but as you said it will be more expensive. If later my current foldie not enough for me,I will just go for those big brand. |

QUOTE(Zelmel @ Sep 7 2014, 10:43 PM) You are using 451 tyre right? I think my pressure today a bit low, might need to pump higher. Feel a bit heavy today. I manage to make two round and one small round. Both leg feel tired. Maybe still need more training. Yes those skinny 451 tyre, whats your pressure for both front and back?I havent pump air since I had already ride for a month.Yup there is 8-, 9-speed foldable I think trinx also got up to 18-speed one. Which bigger brand u go? I feel I want to go MTB or road bike like that. Haha. But I dun think it will happen. Upgrading foldable maybe more probable. Good one in doing 3 rounds. Cheers!!! Yes must join, you will love it. Bigger brand QUOTE(blur_blue @ Sep 7 2014, 10:54 PM) I got a c7a too! which areas do you cycle at? I'm kind of sick cycling alone here... QUOTE(Zelmel @ Sep 9 2014, 11:34 AM) QUOTE(xxinxcubexx @ Sep 9 2014, 12:04 PM) http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Community/2...uters-to-cycle/ Recommended to wrap le,I saw that guy cant go onboard,he go find the black garbage bag wrap, like that also pass it says "Cyclists with foldable bicycles however, may carry them onboard the LRT and monorail trains during off-peak hours, between 9am and 4.30pm and after 7pm on working days, preferably wrapped". i think if ur bike is clean enough wif no mud stain shud be okay else u hav to wrap ur bike in order not to make the lrt station dirty, i guess... but by seeing on this news mcm no need wrapped at all http://www.thestar.com.my/story/?file=%2f2...0016&sec=nation |
