QUOTE(H2D @ Oct 16 2014, 11:38 AM) y speedmatrix can get all these nicer dahon models... what do u mean by 'don't know why dahon bother to make this model'where as msia.... lets see wht guan chow fler can do... u can see clearly the difference between these 3 bikes.. the falco is alu frame, with proper rd better spec, 451? welded fd bracket... compared to speed p8, neos? rd? steel frame.. p8 only. horize.. single crank, vise grip clamp... dono y dahon bother to make this model... can only be found on jdm website... but sg can get it... kinda new to the bicycle thingy, can explain more, tq |

QUOTE(H2D @ Oct 16 2014, 11:11 PM) actually all these details u can find online.. speed falco is to replace the speed p8... but for certain market only i think... the speed p8 sold here in msia.. is cromo frame, lousy neos rd.. , neos twisting shifter.. 406 wheels.. the speed falco frm sg... is cromo frame, altus rd, trigger shifter.. 451 wheels, with welded fd bracket.. the horize.. is alu frame, vise grip folding lock, 406 wheels, altus rd, revo shifter ... speed p8 is 52t front, both falco n horize give u 1 gigi extra = 53 T the Horize n falco from sg is exactly the JDM models... http://dahon.jp/2014/product/Horize/index.html u can't find the link in dahon global site to dahon jp site... why? its a whole different world... not to mention there is another diff dahon world.. which is the CDM.. china dahon... so if u can get a falco or horize.. do get it... cos u can demand a better resale price here in msia... speed falco selling at S$899 and Horize selling at S$750, which one is more worth to buy? also considering to go to khass at jb to get speed p8 which cost rm1600. QUOTE(H2D @ Oct 17 2014, 12:03 AM) for bout 200rm more? i would go for horize... both model are made in China, right?the matt black one.. or silver... cos for me, falco frame design... is kinda bosan ... alot in china got this frame... cromo frame.. many ppl dun like ( they think alu better,,, ) 406 wheels... more tyre choice,,, longer seat tube... feels more solid... ? V-clamp joint... another feature to demand higher resale value....( earlier i typed vice grip.. so it is v-clamp) horize suppose to be a bit lighter as well ....? 750sgd is oredi very good price... cos speed p8 in usj selling 1949... khass is different class.. ya, i prefer the horize frame design also, matt black is cool. but how abt the old model of speed p8? cos it is only sell at rm1600 which is rm200 cheaper compared to horize. |

QUOTE(H2D @ Oct 17 2014, 12:24 AM) china or not doesn't matter la... yes buying my first bike, don't really know all the technical terms. i heard the steel frame is better for vibration absorption. if can sell in japan.. good enuf dy..... all i typed previously already explained about the speed p8... unless u don't really understand... u have owned any bike? buying your first bike...? seems like horize is a better model, just not sure whether the rm200 is really justify. |

just went to test a few folding bike: dahon horize($750), dahon falco($899), bickerton junction country 1808($750), tern d8($800).
I found the bickerton is the most comfortable bike among them, also the height of it's handlebar is adjustable. but not really like the color and design. I like the horize design and color, but i found the handlebar is a bit low. Falco is the most stable bike, given the fact that it has a chrome steel frame, but is a little bit out of my budget, and doesn't have the matt black color which i prefer, although the orange one is also quite nice. The look of the Tern D8 is not so appealed to me, but the handlebar is slightly higher, and is abit more comfortable compared to horize. In dilemma now, don't know to choose which one. Mayb should go and try more bikes. |
