H2D you can recommend any bike shop around pj area who sell bike range like gan fler?
*
Before I went to Kajang, I almost survey all bicycle shop in PJ. All selling pricey one.

This few days I try to go to these few shop to look for helmet and other accesories.

USJ Cycle - went yesterday. (Pricey - but looking at all the bike and accesories also make me itchy)

Kimbell Jaya in Cheras. Went yesterday. (Recommended by another kaki bike) I finally found my helmet here. Prowell biggest size. Scary with my head size. Got sell Garion, Trinx and TRS (no stock now).

GS Bike at Kota Komuning (Haven't able to check at this one. From Facebook look a lot to buy too)

KM Bike Shop at Jalan Sungai Jati Klang. Went last week. (Small shop and nice boss, he the one teach me how to buy helmet, although at last his shop don't have my size. But he spend time chatting with me as newbie. Keep asking a lot of question haha. His shop got some cheaper bike like the kajang)

All of them have Facebook.

Don't say I am crazy. I knew I went so many places just for my helmet. When I like something I went crazy

Totally agreed.

H2D bro, my TRS if i change the tyre with more pattern and fatter like MTB tyre, can it outlive FRIM terrain?
*
I have the same thought as you also. After this tyre is totally flatten. I plan to do some changes. I might go to 9 speed and put bigger tyre. And I dunno I measure correct or not. Our TXC is the same body built with UGO. Maybe our is replica. Hehe. Then maybe can change big tyre like our UGO friend posted before.

Hmm...Prowell, what's the price? any picture?

I really like your TX-9....too bad gan fler no stock already else i dont mind top up RM100 to get it.... sad.gif
omg, Klang...still all very far from here...do they sell TX-9 and raleigh ugo? hmm.gif
*
I mainly look for accesories. So didn't survey the bicycle. Hehe. Maybe u can call them. UGO can be found in PJ shop too, either pedalspot, bikepro, 1U or The strand. I forgot which one. Hehe

All above shop, USJ the nearest lo, then Kota Komuning and Cheras one lo. Then MK Klang is furthest.

Bro don't think too much. Ride your bike. After a while I think UGO just the same with our TXC8/9. Maybe colour different only. Same folding method, same 7-speed, same shimano gear, same brake. It is usual to get excited because so many brand out there. That day I saw a TRINX KA2016 red/black one and XDS red/black one the colour so nice. Sure the heart is itchy, it is just normal la. But the price TRINX 899 and XDS 1100/1200 sad.gif

I bought my prowell rm120. Also install a bottle holder.
Maybe wait next month for cycling pant and glove.

Nice helmet, btw bro, what is the material inside the helmet...is it the white foam type they color it black or real PVC? how heavy?
*
It is not the white foam. They call it EPU something like that. The RM50 sell at gan fler is made of white foam. So it is a better material. I even saw a rm500 helmet yesterday with sun glasses built in. So geng. Hehe
Not sure how heavy. But very light too.

but lemme tell u first and foremost,
thinner tyre = less rolling resistance
if i were you, i would keep using the thinner tyre lah.

Thanks bro. Just making some thinking still. But still I prefer slightly rough terrain rather than on road ride. Although I knew that MTB will be the best. Like at Taman Botani Shah Alam some place a bit rough. A bit scare the tyre may not withstand the roughness. Hehe

The tyre above written inflate to 300kpa (43psi) Max load 50kg. What does it mean? hmm.gif

wait...one tyre is 50kg, 2 tyres mean 100kg...so the bike can support up to 100kg weight person...Am i correct? thumbup.gif
then the inflate to 300kpa, is it means i must inflate until 300kpa or 43psi? the ideal pressure or meaning max i can inflate is up to 300kpa? which is which rclxub.gif
*
If I am not wrong 43psi should be equal to 300kpa. I think yours is maximum 43psi/300kpa. I haven't repump my tyre. So dunno how much different when pump max or pump less. Yup our bike can support up to 100kg

Like your bike colour too. :thumb:

Ya. Just ride ur bike. Enjoy it to the max. The app also got recommended nearby route that you can follow to cycle. Try to ride those with climbing and down route. What accesories u bought so far?

Hi,

actually I'm still wondering which folding bike I should buy.
Budget max is 700. It seems with 700 unable to buy 16 speed foldable bike.

Any recommended bike match my budget?
*
I not very sure, as far as my memory still serve me right, TRINX FA2016/KA2016 will sell around 850-950 depending to its V-brake or disc brake (disc brake more expensive). Or look at bicyclebuysell.com. Can try to look for other brand like Mongoose/ Nakxus/ GTA/ SpeedGear should be around 700-900. I might be wrong.
For 700 or less, 7-speed is easier to get i think. Google United Angel Kajang and give them a call. Or look back to my previous post look for those shop. They might be far, but good thing about shop located that far is that they sell cheaper foldie. If u looking around PJ/KL expect to fork out more.

You can ask SunTzeLee he also bought same one. My wife also bought same one. We bought from same shop. So the price for me is quite reasonable.

However you better ride and check it yourself too. You should know what you really want. This one is basic most you can get so far. Although there are chine brand rm299 but I totally not recommend those. Heavy n the joint are weak.

Still like what I said before, bought the one you like and use it to the max. Cycling is fun!!!

I not sure the shop still have or not. Because it is clearance sale. May be left 1 or two unit left in the shop after my wife n SunTzeLee bought it. Call first before you go, I don't want you to disappointed. It is quite far the shop. Try call the other too. Try it yourself. Don't buy online. Check everything. You can read it in previous pages how troublesome sometime if you buy from a shop too far from your house.

cycling is definitely fun especially when cycles in group of friends... anyone riding at SEAPARK?
so far never ride at nite bcoz it seems like not safe to cycle alone and then havent get any of the helmet yet...
any recommendations for the helmet?
*
Which part of Seapark can ride bicycle? I want to know. That place is near but I never go to that area to cycle before. I dun mind cycle from UM to Seapark.

Bro if you got big head 63cm like me go for Prowell, USJ cycle got sell for RM129. Of all 4/5 shop I go, only UsJcycle got. The one in Cheras where I got my helmet is last unit. Hehe

QUOTE(frozen7 @ Aug 20 2014, 03:28 PM)
Thanks for all the advice. I gonna check it out in some nearby shops first.
smile.gif

Yup. Remember also to ask for warranty. For cheap bike, not every shop give warranty. Beside TRS TXC, TRS 20-27, another brand you can look is Garion 2015 ( forget the model number) buy the 500 one which is alloy body not the 300++ one because that is steel body. It is heavier.

The link one not alloy? Haha. Ya this thread is poisonous. I got a friend who bought 2 months before me. Buying TRS TXC8 just announce that she bought a C7A today. Hahaha

Today try ride from Seksyen 11 to 14 til poslaju there then cycle back thru the housing area.

If I upgrade I MTB straight. The road between housing area so nice for MTB. Banyak lubang. Haha

However I broke my pedal while climbing. Maybe it is plastic so it's bearing inside broken. Now the turn is compromised. sad.gif

wah bro, high level upgrade already...why wanna replace your T9? tongue.gif

No la. I won't change my T9 yet. No money. Unless kena jackpot. Haha. But I might change the component like i said before.

First thing I notice after I break my pedal yesterday, is the stem. I think my stem hinge is very good. Just felt the connection between the stem to the fork a bit weak. Dunno how to tighten it yet.

Maybe I am such a kasar person. I like my T9 very much. The handle bar and stem and stem hinge very sturdy. However I scare I might break the joint between the stem and the fork. It feel weak there
