1) Is there a LYN folding bike group in Fb where I can join their casual riding sessions etc?

2) Which is the best website if I want to participate in some cycling events (not for racing but some fun ride using my foldie)?

Cool. Thanks. Looks like I am already in most of these groups, except Malaysian Foldies where I just quit this group. Didn't like their style. They (even the admin) just like to insult and ridicule for no reason. Using "that fella" and "need to wear specks" although what I shared was correct and still insult me, even after knowing that I was right.....I just find that to be ridiculous.

They were offended with my insult after that, saying that I have to respect the elderly, but they don't realise that :
1) Respect comes with wisdom, not age.
2) There is no such thing as bigger insult or smaller insult. An insult is an insult. So if you want to insult me, you must be ready to accept the consequences, which will normally be greater than what you've given.

They were childish. So I decided to quit from there.

Well, thanks again. Might join Vans Urban Bicycle ride. That seems to be the nearest to me (and also car free morning which is every first Sunday of the month)

Hi guys n girls.
Im lookin 4a foldee. Is there a bike between rm600 n 800 offer at this event?
Just read tis 5mins ago. Tq

No, no foldies within that price range in the roadshow. I think you should refer to bicyclebuysell.com to get a folding bike at that price. There are quite a number of options for that budget.

Ermm lake gardens~~??

nice place to cycle?? i always wanted to go there

This is Titiwangsa. Place is quite nice. Taman Tasik Perdana (Lake Gardens) should be a more challenging place to ride as the roads are quite hilly (unless you just ride around the lake).

Btw, if anyone using a Tern Bicycle - Link D8, Link P9, Link P24h, Link D7i, Link P7i, Link D24 or Link Uno, please check if your frame number starts with AI. Your bicycle might have a problem as Tern is recalling these bikes.

Mine starts with AI (just bought recently at Mont Kiara Roadshow sad.gif.

I am planning to get a Hummer 26 inch" with sport rim (lighter) + shimano gear. 8 speed. for around 1.3k.

Worth it? It this bicyclle even upgrade able?
*
I thought Hummer comes with anything from 21 to 27 speed? Why this is only 8 speed? And I don't think sport rim will make a great difference as for the weight. Correct me if I am wrong. I rather go for the normal rim version which is just RM850 plus minus.

Also take note that it is a China Hummer (not the original Montague Hummer). The original Montague Hummer can cost about RM2.7k and above.

do you think this is a good deal if buy online? will it come assembled or not assembled?

buy online can choose to inspect and collect the goods in store?
*
I don't know if it is a good deal because I've yet to check out at Rodalink retail outlet. But I can confirm that the bike will be assembled before they send it to your doorstep.

I am also not sure if you can self collect from their store if you buy online but I think this can be arranged separately by calling Rodalink office after making your purchase.

How about HUMMER? It less than RM1K is it original or made from CHINA? what is the different. I'm stay in between cheras and ampang where is the nearer place best for cycling.
*
It is China made and not original Hummer. Original Hummer is made so strong that you can throw it from a helicopter. China Hummer is using low quality aluminium for its body but I've tried it and its fine for normal on the road riding. I liked it.

Went to Rodalink Bangsar today. The Dahon Vybe C7S (2013) is RM791 (after minus 5% member price). Membership is free as what the person told me. They only have the red version. If you need the white one, have to get it from Rodalink Putrajaya or pay and wait until after raya (probably a week plus plus) to get it.

However, they don't have the back metal rack as what shown online. I asked how much does the rack cost and was quoted about RM140. So online price of RM833 is still better.

They also have Vybe C7A latest version. Price RM9XX after discount (including 5% member price). No back rack too.

Dahon MU P8 is RM18xx after discount.
