yes youcan.

if like both console is using xbox1 game such as halo2 or forza, then you can play online together. but if one using xbox1 game and the other using xbox360 game (bf2:mc / graw), then you cannot play online together.

Ok i just want to know .. at my place the xbox 360 is selling at RM 1988 and DOA 4 for RM 250 ..

is this price reasonable or rip off ? ..

and also how about playing online for DOA 4 ? Free or else ? .. any free online gaming for XBox 360 ?

or wait for next 2 years, price will be much lower than next year. or better yet, wait for next 5 years, 360 price will become as cheap as xbox1 now.

If you want to talk about official price drop of Xbox 1, it launches on 15th November 2001 for USD 299.

Then on May 15th 2002 (about 6 months after launch) the price drops to USD 199.

Then on May 14th 2003, the price drops again to USD 179. And finally on March 29th 2004 till now, the price is USD 149.
In the case of Xbox vs. PS2, both console launches with the same price tag, USD 299, so price cut is necessary to compete with the rival console. Why should Microsoft drop their price now when their console is USD 200 cheaper than the rival PS3?

Maybe price drop is possible in 2007 when they started to manufacture Xbox 360 using new 65nm CPU which supposed to lower Xbox 360's manufacturing cost.

If you want RM 1000-ish Xbox 360 now you can get it. You can buy either Xbox 360 Asia Core or Xbox 360 Japanese, although I myself prefer Asian Premium set.

If you want to compare low-end PS3, compare it with Xbox 360 core ler. Xbox 360 core also can play game what.

So the price difference is supposed to be:

Between Xbox 360 Premium and PS3 premium:
USD 599 - USD 399 = USD 200
Between Xbox 360 Core and PS3 Core:
USD 499 - USD 339 (since need to buy USD 40 Memory Unit to save game) = USD 160

USD299 is only RM1140, how can it be RM1800-2000? thats shop putting high price to make extra buck from naive customer.   so in reality it's RM1140 become RM800 after one year. not really much difference.
low end ps3 still more expensive by USD100 from xb360 premium. i still don't see any benefits MS would have if they lower the price. bundling with games or accessory will be the best bet.

Why is Xbox 360 hddvd add on a must? If there is a hdd on it, then its a must for me la...   20gb hdd is not enough~!

There is a microsoft staff blog talking about future xb360 with built-in HDMI port. (xbox-scene has a blur pic of xb360 board with HDMI port)
Whether it's happening or not...we will have to wait & see.

Anyhow...all 3 console will cater to different group one lar. Nothing to worry about, let microsoft worry about the price. It's all about the content.

How do I know? Yesterday I went to S.Wang and the gameshop fella told me there will be modded 360 coming next week. The 360+mod price? Not confirm yet. The game price? Well you just went there and ask. I don't want to be accused by promoting pirated stuff, but hey, they do exist.

pirated xbox360 games are available in KL now as well....but you cant play online with them, so a big no no for me.
Play original to fully enjoy the great games.

Well it's up to you. Sacrifice NBA 2K or pay out $499 USD for a PS3 and about $60+ USD for a Blu-Ray game disc which you may not be able to sell off or trade due to console-game locking

of course i'm not getting the set just for one game, i'm just saying i'm a big basketball fan and i love the nba2k series. been playing it since dreamcast days. And yea i'm willing to fork out a little more for us games. Just smoke less lol.
