Console newcomer here... (wth... just played Crysis demo)
1. What is the talk about "unmodded" and "ori" versions of X-Box 360?
a) Let's say I have a 'few' titles I want to buy ori (Halo 3, COD4) while the rest non-ori... can I play both 'types' ? Believe me, I am true ori gamer at heart
"Nope. From what i know, you can't have your xbox360 to play both ori and [ahem] games. Dont' go to the dark side dude."2. What about the quality of display on an LCD display (using 19", non-VGA port), will there be jagged lines/scaling/letter-box ?
"Refer this forum topic dude, lots of Info. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/313601"3. And yes, I am talking about the XBox 360 Elite, the RM19xx version... ; why do we need 20Gb or 120Gb hard drive for console games ?
" Hardisc is used to download demos, game video, patching and also save all your gaming data. I would recommend a 120gb hard drive because nowadays demo are getting bigger and bigger in size. Besides that, you get so many other accesories with the Elites."
4. Do I need to use the internet to do any stuff via the console?
" Yes, you need internet to play Multiplayer via your console. Example Halo 3, Gears of war......or i should say most of the game have multiplayer features."5. How to play?

Just pop in the DVD and that's it? The game starts playing? No caching or pre-installing or waiting time ?
"
Yes, just pop in. No pre-install. But sometimes you do have patch for games through online. But its defintely more hassle free compare to computer gaming."Please assist. Absolute (Absolute) newcomer. Have seen the beauty of the 'Black Box' Elite version... but I still think the white version of the 360 is the original look
. Thanks to the TS. I only owned my Elite for 2 months and i'm really glad about it.
I got mine from Gamer's Hideout, very reliable store. Would highly recommend to you.
