QUOTE(yoroi @ Nov 3 2006, 01:19 PM) some will say "made in mexico" and some will say "made in korea" thanks for that little trivia. and i always thought its cheaper to print dvds and distribute them in the major markets themselves rather than outsourcing and risk early leaks of hot games.

QUOTE(SinaranX @ Nov 14 2006, 12:05 PM) what do you guys think of buying it now?wait or now?heard MS gonna put out new system next year which solve heat and power consumption. supporting ori =) i dont think a 65-nm Xbox 360 CPU nxt yr will automatically means a more reliable system. a few theories have linked the error 0102 (3ROL) to solders/GPU/etc.

QUOTE(xxcha0sworldxx @ Nov 17 2006, 08:15 PM) somebody tell me by just lookin at the xbox box...but which part of the box? someone else pls confirm, but IIRC, jpn set box has jpn text description. asian set box should have english/chinese texts. someone said u can see the xbox360 birthdate on the back of the box. all the best with ur shopping~ QUOTE(SinaranX @ Nov 17 2006, 04:06 PM) oh i didnt notice about the step down. Btw i wanna know if this console is asian set?cuz it says its origin is from singpore which i presume is asian set. wanna get if from their set. Thanks! http://www.gameshop.com.sg/product_info.ph...roducts_id=1673yes, xbox360 sets sold in HK, TWN, SG (not sure abt Korea) are designated NTSC/J Asian sets. u can buy this locally from djinn or get it at SG. ^quite interesting theory. someone mention b4 rgd hot-cold cycles, wil result in failing solder points. so a good habit after a long session of graphics-intensive gaming lik GoW is to play some lumines or geo.wars b4 shutting off

QUOTE(Mr Ez @ Dec 12 2006, 07:22 PM) Do you guys still keep the "Certificate of Authenticity" after open up the game? or you guys just throw it away. dont throw ler. peel it off softly, stick inside the dvd-amaray case actually, in ori SGP, if u buy ori game, if the disc got defect, can exchange within 30 days. yet somehow, after so many years of pressing quality xbox & 360 game discs, suddenly got some weird problem like DOAX2, nobody at MS SG dare to take responsbility or issue statement, keep hiding behind telephone customer service operators

LoL. what's all this bright vs dark side?? when buying a modded console, there's nth stopping u from buying/importing ori games (not meant for sale in malaysia) hopefully, official local launch will come soon and MS will invent better tamper-proof warranty stickers

QUOTE(kitlou @ Jan 18 2007, 07:36 PM) oh no i forgot about the region thing...can a japanese console play the oblivion? make sure u buy the asian version. http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dw-49-...on-70-19jw.htmlnote that cover. it should work on NTSC/J JPN sets. i believe a JPN version with JPN text is not yet released in JPN shops. is there anything new to discuss? summore bring this to the FAQ pinned thread? at the end of the day, dont care what e66 bricking or live banning; if Mr A is dead set on enjoying his pirated goods, surely playing "cat & mouse" with all those banning/bricking/countermeasures is not a problem if Mr B has decided to support ori games, he will buy/trade/swap/rent to the best of his ability at the end of the day, most ppl are old enough to be responsible for themselves and their actions. no need lame excuses or justifications. no need to wait until this subforum is overrun by majority pirated gamers go enjoy ur games.

gamesaves not working? care to elaborate more? that's weird - normally only paid DLC don't work on another 360 in offline mode.
gamesaves are linked to a gamerprofile. it should work when you sign-in with the correct profile.

i think yes cause the links on SGP and US page both link to the same location http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardsc...ityredirect.htmbut note, the games are still region-locked. for example, if u want to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, u'll need the NTSC/J versions. those US versions on ebay won't work unless that specific game was region-free. also note: half-life2 xbox US version works on our NTSC/J Asians sets

QUOTE(bruter @ Jul 14 2007, 12:27 PM) i want XBOX 360 Asia Modded Region Locked can update US XBOX 1 Games Ahem Burnout 3 Takedown NTSC/U ? can ? Burnout is an EA game, so it's most probably region-locked. i think XBOX 360 Asia cannot play Burnout 3 Takedown NTSC/U (original or otherwise). play in on the xbox instead

xbox1 & xbox360 Asian region code is NTSC/J xbox1 & xbox360 US region code is NTSC/UC or NTSC
if u boot Burnout 3 Takedown NTSC/UC, it will most probably display "wrong region" error message.
if u can find xbox Burnout 3 Takedown NTSC/J, u can play it on xbox360 Asian.

^use the supplied cables/adapter that came with the 360. plug in green-blue-red and set the adapter switch HDTV/SDTV. i think there's a piece of white sticker on the switch. This post has been edited by acougan: Jul 16 2007, 12:25 PM Attached image(s)
